My parents hot water tank is just gushing out water from water seems to be a condensation line. (The white pipe) The shut off valve is turned off but of course there is no hot water. Is this normal? And should I just be running the white pipe to the floor drain?

They did have All Weather Furnace Cleaning come by on Oct 16/12 to clean the hot water tank. Does anyone know what exactly they do and how they may have done something to cause this.

Attached is a picture.

Figured I throw this up here while I google the issue.

Yup. About $16 at Home Depot and an easy 5 minute DIY job:

Thx - just flipped the switch and no more water. Told my parents to keep an eye on it incase the valve does need to be replaced.

Figured All Weather Cleaners forgot to flip the switch back off when they came through
