I was wondering which engine would be best to swap into a 93 integra. I was originally thinking about an H22 but would that fit into the car.

b18c1 is probably your best bet. Or just get a B18A and turbo it, cheaper and potentially more powerful

the jdm G2 tegs had b16a's did they not?

drop one of those in, ditch the b18!

Stick with the engine you have and get an fmax turbo kit. (=
H22 will fit, but it will throw off your weight distribution, which is near perfect on the integra.

Didn't the 1991 - 1993 have a GSR with a 1.7L DOHC VTEC engine?

Yeah, although I believe it was 92-93. But one of those would be hard to find, better off with a b18 or b16.

I now have a 91 Ls block with a b16 head. My engine doesn't run correctly. Takes a lot of oil thats why I wanted a different engine. Im tired if always replacing the oil. Should I get a new engine or just try to fix the car? If I do stick with my LS/Vtec what should I do to get the most power?

LS/VTEC would make more power than any b-series except b18c5.

I would suggest two options:

- rebuild your current enigne with a better intake manifold, cams, port & polish the head, and maybe use a set of high compression pistons. The B18A/B engines respond awesome to modifications and have a really good powerband even though you have to shift a little earlier than a vtec model.

-consider purchasing a B20 shortblock. I have jdm low km egines in from time to time that don't require any more work than replacing the timing belt. They make lots of torque and can be modded the same as the B18.

rebuild the engine with some ITR/CTR pistons, get some toda/skunk2 cams, hondata tuning, and you're at 200whp.

how was your ls/vtec built? sounds like your piston rings or valve seals are toast?:dunno:

wow this was a great read whoe ever would put a b16 in a car that has a b18, except for the car not having vtec its a way better engine the way it is than any b16 why would u trade up for less displacement and tourque u would move backwards, and for a build on you engine a killere setup is to stick with the b16 head or go gsr for the .2 compression bump build the head up with cams valves pnp then use the ctr pistons overbore in the b18 it will bring the compresion ration to 12.3 something like that go to hondaswap.com all the info is there for building a killer b18, good luck with the build.

Too bad nobody makes motormounts for the K series yet. Otherwise you might have more than 0 people interested in your swap.

thanx a lot gts jeff. Your comment made you look like an idiot. As for k-series I meant K20A3. Was a suggestion nobody else made yet so I said it, I apoligize if you think that was stupid, according to you. ASS:guns:

Buy a B20 there compression is like 8:1. Make your own turbo kit!
You will have tons of power and all the bells and whistles of a turbo! :dunno:
