hehe didn't even plan on upgrading the turbo, just wanted less lag when I was redoing the turbo seals. This isn't gonna get me less lag...

haha i dunno what I was thinking. Seriously, I hate turbo lag, and this thing looks massive. My last turbo was smaller, and way too laggy. Supposedly good for a bit over 500whp on the 944 tho...

I think Turbo lag on your car is awesome, its like jet propulsion. The anticipation to 4000RPM and then bang. Anyhow, should be fun!

Anyhow, should be fun! you dont need a big turbo to do that, just an old semi-effiecient one!. my paw's 930 Turbo has a K27 if im not mistaken (k26 sounds right as well). Its a relatively small turbo but doesnt spool until 4 grand. then its a gong show after that, but 4k is the number.

Well yeah man, haha, but a larger turbo makes that 4000 and beyond oh so much more fun, haha

And the housing is too big to be a T04 cover (not just based on this pic I've seen a couple others) and the inlet is different too on all the T04 housings.

K27 is correct :). K26's were used in 944 turbos, and twin turbo duty in the 959.

to me that thing looks like a new garrett gt housing. pretty much looks like a gt40 standard t04e housing. .70a/r. I think alot of people are just use to seeing pictures of precisions ass housings. Garrett's new housings are so much nicer.

Time to buy that ceramic coated, lined with fire-proof material and aluminium covered; exhaust and bring on the anti-lag systems.

the 930 has a 3LDZ stock which is a K26, the hot side is an -11, the 951 has a -6 or later a -8 turbine housing.
