I have a 6th gen iPod classic 120gb and got some slurpee inside of it. Left it in rice a couple days and when i plug it in, it sits at the "charging please wait screen"

Have tried to open it up but it seems very hard to do. I can see a little liquid bubble on the screen itself. Anyone know how to fix this or know someone who does this for money?

Bring it to iFix in Eau Claire.

Leaving it in rice does little. It should have immediately been soaked in DISTILLED water, taken apart and then soaked in rice.

Can't you soak those in rubbing alcohol as well? I thought that was safer than water.

Sure, alcohol is used to clean PCBs but not sure how it would react to other components inside.

Distilled water is the safest usually as it reacts with little and is a solvent as well. Tap water of course (or bottled) is unsuitable given the amount of minerals and other contaminants.
