I have 17" 6 x 114.3 wheels and getting rims for these seems to be impossible.

I have the guy from urbanx trying to come up with a solution for me at the moment but what do other people do?

I called nissan they said they dont have a option for people wanting winter rims. The parts guy told me the last person he talked to got wheels from the states.

I dont care for the TPMS sensor either (decided that i can live with the light on the dashboard)

I searched kijiji and there was one guy selling a set in calgary however not sure what offset as it came from a dodge.

I work at Nissan in parts and get peoples frustration all the time.

Nissan was stupid in deciding bolt pattern for the Xterra, Frontier and Pathfinder. Going with a 6x114.3 was retarded as there is nothing for winter rims/steelies anywhere since Nissan is the only vehicle with that stupid bolt pattern. Even going to either 6x139.7 or 5x114.3 no problem. But 6x114.3 NO Dice.

So only option is to either #1. Buy summer rims and put the all-seasons on that and then use your OEM rims for the winter.

#2 buy from USA somewhere.

#3, there may be some other vehicles OEM rims that use that size. Maybe do some research and hit up Pick N Pull.

yes, i get tons of people yelling at me because nissan doesnt offer anything in that size, nor can we find a aftermarket size. I feel stupid telling customers i cant get them anything. maybe someday nissan will make something...

Ok thanks for the reply. What is minimum tread depth in winter. I think my tires have about 4mm on the long trails I'm using. They are definetly slipping more this winter than last winter.

* Dodge Durango (1998 - 2003) Hub bore: 71.4mm
* Dodge Dakota (1991 - 2004) Hub bore: 71.4mm
* Dodge Viper (1992-2009)
* Nissan Frontier (2005 - 2009) OEM offset: +30mm / Hub bore: 66.1mm
* Nissan Pathfinder (2005 - 2009) OEM offset: +30mm / Hub bore: 66.1mm
* Nissan Xterra (2005 - 2009) OEM offset: +30mm / Hub bore: 66.1mm
* Suzuki Equator (2009) OEM offset: +30mm / Hub bore: 66.1mm
* Hyundai Entourage (2007 - 2009)
* Kia Sedona (2006 - 2009)
* Kia Borrego (2009)

That's the whole list of trucks that share the bolt pattern.

Just today i'm finding out the viper has the same bolt pattern, those rims would look hilarious on an Xterra.

I have an 07 X and I couldn't find winter rims to save my life so I just got a set of studded M/T's and called it close enough.

Wouldn't 15" wheels on an xterra look strange? Thought 16" would be the lowest size I could go.

if they clear the brakes and are for winter... who cares

there is seriously pages of wheels on kijiji that will work for you

In winter, its best to go downgrade to a smaller size as its better for traction is what I was told. Smaller tire so cuts through the snow and reachs the pavement faster.

If downgrading to 16" you can run 265/70/16. For 15" you can run 255/75/15. I didn't play with calculator much for 15's for there is some other sizes probably.

But good luck in your search :) :winter:

Not sure why you have the idea that NO rims are available.

Your X can use 16", 17" or 18" rim from any 2005+ Xterra, Frontier or Pathfinder.

You can get stock aluminum rims at the dealership. You will, however, be bent squealing over the barrel and made to pay $375 bucks per rim.

I checked at Fish Creek Nissan last summer and was told that steel rims are available too.

And there are aftermarket rims available, just have to look for them Aftermarket rims (http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5119)

yeah $375 per rim is rediculous.

Im looking for some rims on kijiji now. Im thinking of getting some aftermarket rims for summer and then using my OEM rims for winter too.

Good luck with Kijiji. I found a set there but it took a few months of looking.

What is the hub bore measurement for? if I got durango wheels would I need something to be modified to fit them or?

And what is the hex measurement? for instance the durango and suzuki use a hex of 19mm where has all the nissans use a hex of 21mm

Hub bore I believe is the size of inner circle of the rim. So if the hub bore is too big, I think thats what hub rings are for. They can make the hub bore size smaller like 73 mm to 66mm kinda deal.

when you say hex... you mean your lug nuts? you may need "tuner" style ones if you cant get a socket around yours

ah so hex probably refers to the size of the holes that the bolts go through and if my lug nuts dont fit I'd have to get new ones?

That sites pretty good - not sure how they can offer free shipping though - even with that - a set of rims and tires came to over $1600 without TPMS
