Its just money.

In the old days - Chinese laundromats used to be the way - $100 to clean a suit.

Nowadays they don't even care about trying to hide money laundering. Although its becoming more commonplace to go after the higher end white collar laundering nowadays (Art, wine and gems) Stock traders tends to launder through wine.

I figure with legalization of Marijuana in two states, there are going to be a lot of laundering fronts closing down (no longer necessary)

Nickel and copper are legitimate forms of money laundering done by banks. They make profit by giving people money to start with at a "set value", and then taking it away. Canada has been in the process of melting our nickel coins since 2004 to provide more monetary metals for the EU (they need about 3 grams to make a one or two Euro coin, and unlike some people might believe, this is a world of finite resources.)

So in other words, in order to launder stolen money from Canada (nickel) they need a facilitator (the bank) to launder, melt and revalue it by a factor of 40x (similar to a $20.67 ounce of gold dollar in 1933)

However, million dollar pennies and baseball cards can also be used but is not the preferred means. Nickel and gold are both inferior to silver and copper for money laundering for individuals at this particular point in time, but are the preferred metals for banks. Needless to say, I could write a book on it - or you could just take my word for it. Its the reason that its acceptable to launder using wine, but noone launders using vodka or beer.

Those who money launder using gold are usually looking to attain military goods. Germany is currently in the process of calling in its 2,000 tons of gold or so from New York, for the first time in 40 years... My advice is "duck".

Legal to smoke, not sell in high quantities. You'll still need to launder for that.
