Went on a trip to Spain not to long ago and they had grilled sardines everywhere! I ended up trying some and fell in love :P
anyway is there a place in Calgary that sells them? Or where could one go and buy fresh sardines?

We did too. Mercato has it on their appetizer menu sometimes, but not all the time.
I've only found frozen ones so far

if you cook them, make sure it's well ventilated as it smells.
but eat it with rice, tomatoes and vinegar, so good

Is tuyo the dried fish?
If you are looking for sardines, don't get smelt, its not even the same fish.
Also call city fish, its part of their fresh products
