I'm looking to gather up a bunch of toys and presents to give away this Christmas. Anyone know of a place that takes present donations? I know there are some places in the mall where you just drop them off in a big pyramid but im kind of sketchy about people stealing from it, etc.

Anyone know of a trustworthy place where the donations will actually go to the less fortunate?

I drop mine in the triangle donation box in Bankers hall. Security is everywhere, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

What about salvation army?

The childrens cottage accepts unwrapped toys. I dont have any kids that I buy for so my girlfriend and I normally go out and buy a bunch of toys and drop them off there.

Toy Mountain (that triangle donation box) is Salvation Army.

Personally I don't donate anything to the salvation army anymore, not after they started tossing anything they deem to be Un-Christian such as Twilight and Harry Potter toys.

I've been volunteering for the salvation army xmas gift wrapping twice in the last month
This would explain why I haven't seen any HP toys. I was thinking Twilight was deemed as "violent" and that's why i havent seen them.
