okay, so after not playing for a couple years, i decided to start playing again (played for 6 years, then kind of slouched off  ), so i decided to try something new.

how but guns and roses, november rain, something with challenge...

http://fretplay.com/tabs/g/guns_n_roses/november_rain-tab.shtml

there's the tabs, i've gone over it 3 times along with the song, and can't figure out where the last solo is.

is it missing or am i crazy? if it is missing, anyone have any links to a good version of it?

hmmm its really hard to tell if its missing unless you sit down and try to play that tab. It's a pretty long solo so I would keep looking around at a few guitar tab sites, a lot of tabs I find are pretty bad, you just got to keep looking around for the good ones!

I have the official GnR anthology tabs. They're fairly good, 90% accurate based on my style.

Which solo are you looking for? The one where it goes "don't you think that you need somebody"... where slash plays like 6 variations of the same solo?

I can scan you the pages...

i think thats the one, at the very end, in the video when slash gets on top of the piano.

i just realised its been 4 years since i've really played guitar seriously, this should be intense, .

hehe gimme a sec, I'll scan it for ya. I can ALMOST play that solo at the cd version speed, but the live version speed is sick, Slash is insane. I'm not that good yet haha.

listen to it like 300 times, eventually it'll be stuck in your head and you'll just hammer it out.

I used to be able to pull off noel gallagher solos by listening to them over and over and over, then playing them slooooooowly.
I dropped guitar when I was like.. 14, pick it up maybe twice a year.

drums are better

I usually learn solos (without tabs) by taking the mp3, and slowing it down with my audio editor by 200-300%, then figuring out how to play it slow, then slowly increase the speed until I'm playing real time.

It's weird how really fast solos sound totally different at slow speeds.

there should be some free/shareware audio editors available. Try www.tucows.com and search for audio editors.

Yea, it changes speed without pitch. I use the audio editor that came with my Media Studio suite (commercial proggie). I'm sure there's freeware or shareware programs that can do the same thing.

Hey Rage, what are you playing on these days?

I play most of the GnR stuff on my Les Paul. Jimi stuff on my cheapo squire strat with Kinman pickups (favorite guitar oddly), and the rest of the stuff on an American Strat.

I recommend you DL a program called GuitarPro4 off kazaa.
Then go to www.mysongbook.com and download the tabs for it, then you can slow down the tempo and shit.

Search the web for the power tab editor software.

It allows you to hear the notes and watch the tab/musical notation at the same time, in real time....its a great program. And its totally free to download.
