I'm looking to get a remote starter installed in my car, and I've got the two usual suspects (Autotech and Autodream) in mind, but both are up in the NE, far from home and work.

AutoTemp isn't too far from where I work, but from the searches I did (at least here on Beyond) I couldn't find much in the way of reviews.

Has anyone here gotten a starter installed by them before?

I think Visions has a stereo/alarm install bay in the Deerfoot casino area

Just had the CompuStar Pro 901 installed on my Volvo C30 from the Douglasdale AutoTemps. It took them a lot longer than I was initially told, but looking online and calling around, not many people will touch a Volvo due to it's complexity.

The staff were friendly and were good at keeping me in the loop and in the end it was installed with no issues.

I'd imagine your experience would be even better with a less complex car. My colleague had a viper alarm/starter installed in his Jetta from the South AutoTemps location and had absolutely no issues.

I would recommend against Autotemp. I recently witnessed a sawzall hack job of epic proportions in the doors of a new car. Just an abysmal amateurish show of zero skill and care. It was really bad.

another place is audio concepts or something along those lines...its also in the NE though.. 32nd ave and 19st NE

just another suggestion to ask for a quote... i found their prices to be better than other places like visions/bestbuy/etc and they had a few different product lines and prices

a quick google for "autotemp calgary crap"
