I am sure you will have the typical haters cause its you haha. IMO, Its almost like a show home thats forsale that nobody lives in? maybe needs some more colour and warmth? if that makes sense..But to each their own. Its a beautiful space, and probably nicer than most of the people on here. (including me haha)

Haha, yah I know. We need more artwork. The bonus room has a nice black glass coffee table now, but still no art. Like I said, work in progress.

It's nice 89. As mentioned, it badly needs splashes of colour - but I appreciate the contemporary look.

89coupe place looks nice. I love the lack of color actually. But I would only do it to maybe the main and the basement and do a little different color in the rooms. Great taste overall though.

It's a warehouse that was converted into 5 retail bays with residential spaces above. We're in Inglewood.

The stairs going up lead to a master suite that is open.. its about 650 square feet. You can see the closets from the one pic. From there, you go up thru the hatch to the rooftop

We wrapped rope around the furniture and used a makeshift pulley system to get it up the 40 feet. It wasn't fun..... The furniture wasn't ridiculously heavy though, so that made it a little better.

Our last house had similar square footage, but it didn't get used because the lay out didn't suit our needs. We use every bit of space in this one.

The retail on the loft? We paid $718, put another $25k in renos and it was assessed right after the renos for the insurance co at $783k. But that also includes the retail space at the base of the house too. It's all on one title

I'm actually kind of upset that I never clicked on it when I was searching... Didn't realize it came with the commercial space! We would have either had free space to open a store of sorts or basically the mortgage covered... Fuuu

^ Yup... mine isnt in that building, Im much further down 9th... but the store downstairs covers 3/4 of my mortgage and utilities. It's fuckin perfect!

The issue with the one that is posted is that it is within the plaza of that building (assuming its the one i think it is). So, street traffic is minimal

Looks like Drury? I have a client right now that just scored an amazing 40 foot view lot on Drury. They will start building in the summer.

Yeah i was on the fence with the elevator, but when it found out how affordable it was I thought for resale it would be worth it. This home will be sold the minute I can find a good lot to build another on

We looked at Ed Gallagher but ended up with Lighthouse who designed some other housed we really liked, and also works very closely with our builder.

Haha sounds like our discussion. I got an 800 sqft garage with a 14x20 project car workbay with lift in exchange for a 15x12 closet.

I think you got the better deal though! But gonna have to keep the car spotless!

NOOOOOO, They will give you much less then market value, and have their realtor sell it, hopefully for a profit. No builder wants to hold onto pre-owned inventory. I dont know of any builder who do this anymore.
