I havn't looked for a remote starter in about 8 years and the wife wants one for her Murano.

I'd prefer to pick it up from futureshop since we have a bunch of gift cards there, but I know install can be such a big part of the overall experience.

Any thoughts on these three?

Honestly compustars are licensed products from Directed, the company that makes Clifford, Viper, autostart... Etc...

There are much better units out there, such as the astrostart Rss-2552, more features longer range, even has the ability to be controlled with you smartphone. Granted it is a little bit more money, things like sentinal mode- which starts yoir car every few hours, when the temperate reaches below a preset threshold make it a easy choice.

You will have to deal with auto temp for that particular unit.

If that's not appealing to you. I would definitely go with the viper unit.

Other way around, Compustar is it's own seperate company, whereas Astrostart, Autostart, Viper, Clifford, Avital are all owned by Directed..
