Just wondering if any, especially v8 guys, have bought a power/economy prgrammer that actually was worth the cash? I am getting 11mpg out of my 4.6 v8 explorer. I know they are not great on gas but I have been looking into real world proven products that may help.

Any suggestions?

If your vehicle is running well, I don't think ANY aftermarket part or programmer will help fuel economy enough to recoup the initial investment.

Check your tire pressures, chagne the air filter (with anotehr chepa paper one) and drive with a light foot.

I had one on my gas truck. It made a difference, but not enough to be worth a $400 programmer. It also made it gutless.

I have an Edge programmer in my 2005 F-150. Its a fun little toy and I have seen a bit of fuel economy improvement but not even remotely enough to justify buying it for that reason.
