10 laps in the Cayman R

This is also my first time to Vegas!

I really want to have a few solid laps after getting used to the track so I figured this would be the most economical way to do it. $350 for 10 laps and the Cayman R is supposed to be an amazing car to drive so I'm excited. If I was baller status I would go all out with the ferrari's, maybe next time I go to Vegas. I'll probably get the video so I'll post up after I go!

Who has some tips to make sure I get the best all around experience while I am down there?

Any reason for choosing the Cayman R over a Ferrari, etc..?

Thanks, Definitely will read this thread.

I'm also talking about cool must see places in Vegas, I know January is limited.

I'm actually going down for the NCHL hockey tournament. Anyone else on here going for that? we should meet at the Friday night party.

I did 7 laps in a Lambo Gallardo. Great times. Considering where the facility is compared to the strip, maybe plan to hit up the outlet stores just outside the city on the way to or back from the Track. It saved us a pile of time and spent more time on the strip.

Have fun!

Id take 5 laps in the Scuderia or 458 vs 10 in the Cayman. If you dont drive the 458 your missing out man

I did 5 laps in the 458, scuderia, 997t, and superleggera. All are crazy. I liked the porche the least of those, the 458 and scuderia were insanely awesome.

Id have taken more laps in less cars. :dunno:

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Nope I just wanted to have variety for comparison. i dont regret only getting 5 laps at all. It was a blast! You can really see how the cars handle differently and I really didnt feel the need for more than 5 laps. It was plenty of time to get use to the car IMO anyway.

Next time I go im doing the aventador, mp4-12c, gtr, and maybe the 458 or scuderia again because those were just awesome.

^ if you were to only do one car, which would your recommend the scuderia or the 458?

Ooooh that's a tough choice.. Depends on your driving skill. If you're good, you'll appreciate the Scuderia more. If you suck, the 458. One thing I really hated about the 458 was that the nannies kicked in way too early (i.e. punch the throttle and there was a noticeable delay before the car got going). Of all the cars, the Scuderia is definitely *THE* most hardcore car there.

I'd say you couldn't go wrong with either and you won't regret your choice.

458 because for me it felt the most crazy. 7speed vs a 6speed in the scuderia so your always shifting and that makes it a little bit more involving IMO. Also it has 50more hp and it can definitely be felt. The 458 pulls like a monster.
Scuderia had less power but it felt very crazy. I liked the brake feel much more and it was the loudest car there. Both the 458 and scuderia was very precise and involving however, just a joy!

To be honest I lean for the 458 because I had a really crazy experience in it, but if you do either you will not walk away unimpressed. Im a Ferrari fanboy after those 2 cars hahaha.
Also end of the day, I was about 6 seconds faster in the 458 (best time 1:11) vs the scuderia or any other car. It was mostly because of my instructor pushed me and let me know exactly how much speed I could carry into a corner, but with the other cars I braked way to much because I was uncomfortable.

So either or you will not be unimpressed, but Id do recommend the 458.

The 458 would be absolutely awesome.. I've wanted to mash those paddle shifters ever since I watched the ferrari challenge at the Formula 1 Montreal 2011 (Best F1 race ever btw).

The thing just sounds so damn good when it changes gears... It was like a symphony seeing all of them going by at the same time... half diving into the hairpin while some are redlining down the front straight... orgasm.

I might have to bite the bullet and just do it. I am sure once I see it sitting infront of me with the door open and engine running I will say fuck it.:burnout:

Guess I'll stick with the 458. My only track experience has been on my bike, so I'll be a complete noob in either car, might as well get the most of it with the 458.

Im a lambo fanboy but the 458 is so awesome I had to do both, gallardo and 458. I loved both and almost impossible to choose but I'd take the 458! The lambo felt a lot like my evo but of course WAY faster lol so since it was so close I just drove it soooo hard it was unbeliable lol I don't thjnk I ever stop pressing the gas while driving it lol

For the 458 all I'm gonna say is I had a hard time getting out of the car and was so dizzy I couldn't walk lol

Edit: like you can see everyone's experience was a little different. I felt like the Gallardo required so much more attention to drive maybe because your always on the gas and if your not careful you will get in trouble really easy. The 458 was really easy to drive but the thing I hated was how they don't let you press the gas early enough out of the tunr unlike the Gallardo where I had the gas down 80% off the turn. So to me the Gallardo was more involving and hardcore but the Italia more fun. I know it doesn't make sense lol

Anyone going to jump into the Aventador?

Missed it last year by a day and would love to know how it compares to 458 and the lot.
