For those you you old enough to remember and to have had the privilege to watch him play, ESPN has a a new 30 for 30 film that chronicles the short but amazing career of arguably the greatest athlete pro sports has ever seen.

I remember watching his games and the Bo Knows commercials, but was too young to grasp just how significant his accomplishments were.

All the 30 for 30 documentaries are amazing.
I always thought Bo Jackson was one of the most underrated atheletes remembered.

^^ Yep, I've enjoyed all ESPN's 30 for 30 docs.

That Bo documentary was awesome. To this day, Nike pays homage to his career with the "Bo Knows" campaign and re-releases of all his footwear. MY avi is actually inspired by the 90s "Bo Knows" commercials.

Agreed. There was a marathon last weekend on TSN2

He was underrated for good reason though as he never had any significant achievements in either sport. No championships etc. or anything of that sort. The crappy thing about his short careers in both sports and the lack of championships is that he won't be as remembered in 20 years.

I really liked Bo Jackson growing up as well and I like how he carried himself and never really got into any trouble etc.

I think it's because his career was cut short due to the hip injury and he didn't have the opportunity to play as long as he could have. Such a genuine and principled guy. How many Heisman winners and #1 draft picks have/would walk away from the NFL because of what the Bucs did to go play minor league baseball to prove himself?

Prob my favorite of the Bo Knows commercials back in the day...

I was getting into blues rock during this era, so the whole Bo Diddley tie in was pretty epic for me.

I feel old now. I watched 1 or 2 episodes of Pro Stars back in the day, but that was because I already in high school and nothing else was on.

Loved that documentary. It just shows what a truly supreme athlete he was...apparently he hardly ever lifted weights, just did calisthenics and he said he thought practice was a waste of his time too haha, and he still kicked serious butt

one of my favorite sports memories is after Brian Bosworth called Bo out (88-ish?) before a MNF game and said he was over-rated. Bo rushed for over 200 yards, 3 TDs, and seemed to be looking for 'Bos' on every play, just so he could run over him lol.
