Yes just sign the bill of sale as you would any other car

Any wrecker in town will likely take the car off your hands for cash

phone around, that's your best bet. Don't expect a whole lot, maybe a couple hundred.

Can do it pretty much like a regular sale. However, I'd put on the bill of sale something like this:
"unrepaired damage exists on this vehicle." and get the buyer to initial beside that line.

As mentioned, the car will be worth very little. if it was worth a couple grand beffore, now it'll be worth a couple hundred.

^ This if you sell it in a private sale.

Id put on the bill of sale:

"Car is sold in unrepairable condition, with buyer knowing that full well. Car is to be used for parts or whatever else, but cannot be made into road worthy condition." Or something of that sort, and have him sign (your copy) right beside that.

Otherwise, sell it to Pick n' Pull. They'd give you much the same amount for it as you'd likely get in a private sale. In a private sale, you may get $400, but pick 'n pull would give you around $200-300 for it.

Sell it privately if you aren't in a rush. Wreckers will not give you very much at all.

Donate it to the Kidney Foundation, etc, etc, and get a tax receipt?

Calgary Metal will pay $150/2000lbs. Just make sure it's drained and they can pick it right off a trailer.

Fuck that, I'd rather sell it for scrap. I gave them an f250 with blown head gasket that I didn't want to go through the hassle of selling or fixing and got a receipt for 80$. I also gave them a 99 e320 that I crashed like 7 years ago and they gave me a receipt for $30.

The tax receipts are still too small. If I donate $1000 to the childrens hospital they don't write me a receipt for $10.

I had some guy with a sketch as hell trailer show up off Kijiji and tow a wrecked and parted, non rolling EK shell out my garage for free. Was full of glass, and parts I didnt keep, missing doors, no motor etc...

I just wanted it gone and he came and took it from me. Dont know what he did with it, but frankly I dont care. Not my problem is all I cared about.

I had some guy off kijiji tow an old EG civic I had for free as well lol.

They really don't like to take it if it has no engine in it.

If you have exhaust bits - keep the catalytic converters, they are worth quite a bit of money. I sell mine over at Empire Metals, I've gotten up to $150 for some of the bigger cats I've taken there, with most being $80-$120.

Seriously, WTF is up with pick-n-pull refusing to cross bridges? Is that just a cop out?

The Isuzu guys are all over this parts car; I've already got dibs on the two front fenders, fog lights, head lamps, gauge cluster, wiring harness, centre consol, radio mounts... plus interest in the side skirts and bumper, lol.

Guess I will strip it down a little more to try and make my money back... sure my neighbours are going to really love me when it has no fenders, LOL!!

Having worked at pick n pull I can tell you that they really don't make any money off the parts side. Too much time involved versus just crushing it, theft and their pricing is way out of whack unless you're looking for parts for a rarer car. They were trying to make that end profitable when I was there but I can't see it happening anytime soon.

As for why they don't buy cars without engines/cats it really wasn't worth the time for the amount of scrap. They sell the scrap to third parties with a percentage of metal in the scrap determining the rate. The engines bump that up pretty nicely, part of the reason they have the parts end is the customers are basically stripping out the interior for you which bumps up that percentage as well, getting them a more favorable rate versus just crushing it straight away.

Strip it down to a bare shell with absolutely nothing on it and sell those parts? (Looks like people want parts from it as you mentioned)

Then just cut up the shell and recycle the rest yourself.

I have a guy that will take it away for free.

He took my rsx shell with no engine, no wheels ect.

PM me if you're ready
