This is a great buy regardless of engine work needed. Id like to buy this put 20k into the motor and have a 60,000 lamborghini.

No new car for me for a year or so. I have my Lambo I posted on here as it looked interesting.

I like the Tesla S, Want to wait and see how resale is on that as I have been burned with my Jag

I wonder how hard it is to get into Canada.

Dump the V10. Toss in a LSX and make it twice as fast. (for 1/4 the money)

^ word. Stupid power, and nothing to maintain. I love the LS2 I have in my hotrod pickup. 400hp out of the box and dirt cheap to maintain, just oil changes, nothing else. I love it. LS series FTW. 30mpg is hella nice too. Id love an LS7 under the hood, but went with the cheaper LS2 & T56 6speed manual tranny combo for $5k.

Whats up with your Jag? I recommended it to my uncle who was looking at a Cadi CTS-V.
Both are awesome cars, but I figured he should take a look at the Jag as well, as per its phenomenal reviews.

Interesting. Neither motor is particularly "exotic" the V10 nor a LSX, so it wouldn't be a huge loss either way.

My guess is the computers are fried in the Lambo...and those are probably tens of thousands to replace. If that's the case, then a small block Chevy would be a great choice. Otherwise I would think that rebuilding the V10 would be the better option.

Nice. But it was an insurance write off due to flood. Prob gonna have lots of unsolved electrical issues. It must have been pretty screwed for them to make it a total loss.

Run away!

Maybe, or maybe not. I assume this was part of the Sandy damages. If that is the case, I think there is a dramatic shortage of insurance adjusters working.

On the other hand, it's also probably salt water...which is way worse than say a drive into a lake.

I believe flood damaged vehicles can only by legally imported into Canada as scrap/parts vehicles, can't be licensed.

Jags great, No problems at all, in fact the best car I have ever owned, Other then the depreciation. Thats my only complaint. Its got about 80,000kms on it now, Ill drive it another year and a half and give it to my kid

Just buy it, fix it, get it re-vined (illegal), sell it!! If you are not sure how to do so just call Zr Auto and ask?;)

Technology has changed so much since I built my last one... seamless triple overhead projectors, hook up the cluster to work with the games, use the real lambo wheel and pedals, it would be sooooooooooooooo nice. Probably still more than 20k but it would be the most bad ass racing simulator ever made.

You could even add motion, but then you'd be talking big $$$.

Yeah, with the amount of electronics in that car, $20K is a VERY optimistic number to get it running again.
