Hi Beyonders,

I am going to Las Vegas for the first time. I don't know where to stay yet, i have read blogs about bed bugs and how some hotels charge you daily fees.

This is the very first time i am going to Vegas. I need any help i can recieve. Everything from meals, best escorts, casino's, hotels that are reasonable, and things/shows to attend while in Vegas.

I am going for the Rugby 7's but, i want to be able to have the most fun in 4 days as i can.

Thanks!

Treasures is also a decent gentlemens club if the Rhino doesn't work for you. Nowhere else is worth going.

Everywhere you read! i have read a lot of blog's and they all mention them, but it seems to be mostly in the larger, more busier Hotels, but probably in all of them!

Haha you want escorts, clubs, and strippers and you find ceasars expensive. Good luck surviving in las Vegas with $500

Here's a tip. if you think ceasars is expensive, don't go to the strip clubs. Not even once. Just save yourself the trouble and stick to the $30 buffets, and $2 beers at the place with the leprechaun.

On a more serious note, if budget is abig issue, check out downtown (aka freemon street). Usually much cheaper than the strip, and very walkable few blocks. You can have a great time down there.

But you guys would know best from experience!

The Budget is $1500 for the whole trip. I thought i would add that in as well lol

Including flights and accommodations? You can get a decent hotel and flight deal for as low as 300-700. Take a look at mirage, TI, or maybe MGM. I would say that they are mid scale and close to lots of clubs and popular areas. Look now for packages on Expedia and Travelocity. I normally buy my packages 4-6 months in advance or two weeks before departure.

Btw: strip clubs.. Spend atleast 3-500
XS and similar nightclubs are even more.
Meals can be had for cheap but many on the strip restaurants are $$$
Shows are minimum 60 bucks and up
Maybe go do some research and find the open bars if you wanna predrink. One that I know of is blondes
Ghost bar and most palm place clubs have a all you can drink bracelet for 3 hours for around 100 or something

Don't forget about the mandatory resort fee that most hotels charge.

monte carlo isnt that bad at all, ive staed there and i actually liked it. ive stayed at MGM a few times and IMO, it has gone downhill in sevice and alot of other areas.

excalibur is not great and luxor is way too far down on the strip and its kind of annoying to see a big ass hotel look so close, but it takes a half an hour just to get to the next hotel.

stay in the middle IMO. planet hollywood, mirage, treasure island, paris...also, $1500 is doable without a doubt, if you budget small for food and drinking, but if you dont, cut out shopping and gambling because food and drink will take your budget.

$500 easy when you go to any gentlemen's club in Vegas.

how big is your party or is it just you?

ph, Paris, Monte Carlos is probably most central of hotels without being too much of a dump. Never tried Mirage or TI.

or if you really wanna save money, stay at circus circus. i cant say they wont have bed bugs though, but if all of them apparently have them, why not go to the cheapest one lol

Like everyone else says, Spearmint Rhino! I had a great time at Sapphire as well. Don't fall in love with your stripper :D

out of the hotels you listed, the Mirage is the best location. The strip is big, and you will do a ton of walking, so the closer the hotel the better.

And try "the sandwich trick"
$20 at TI got us upgraded to a corner room on floor 14 with a view of the strip and the Sirens show.
$20 at Mandalay bay got us upgraded to a suite in "The hotel" on floor 61. (that was a huge score)

for the amount of time you actually spend in your room, just stay at the cheapest hotel. I have stayed at the excalibur and didn't mind it at all.

What are these hotel recommendations from? 1999?

How about Vrada, Aria, MGM Signature, Wynn/Encore, Venetian/Plazzo, TheHotel - All Good, and worth the nominal extra cost as usually you can find one of these heavily discounted.

The Wynn Buffett is fantastic, and a good consideration considering your on a budget.

We stayed at Vdara last time we were down. VERY impressed.

Check for packages on expedia.ca I just booked at the Vdara for just over $600 for 4 days and 3 nights, including two show tickets (Cirque etc) flight and taxes. Vdara is part of City Center which is pretty central and fairly new too. Monte Carlo can be had for a bit less for the same package and next to the City Center. A lot of the packages that include the shows are part of the MGM group. You just got to decide what you really want and how much you are willing to pay.

Close to the strip and cheap. But you are right about Vadara and Aria, they do have deals off and on.

Thanks Everyone for all the comments! I really appreciate it! I never knew a strip club would go at $3-500, I might just skip that!

I do drink so I will check out the spots mentioned. I don't need clothes so i won't be shopping. I will check out the shows, and restaurants mentioned.

I am excited to go, i will be traveling alone and meeting up with a lot (10+) friends from all over North America.

I will be searching and looking at expedia as well today. Any recommendations on travel agents? i have looked at deals from "Airline Ticket Centre" off 16th and they have some half decent ones.

Keep the recommendations coming please! and thanks once again!

1500 total for 4 days in vegas? May be if you are a girl lol.

Yeah a few hundred bucks wont last very long at the strip club. Once you start buying dance, they'll keep coming. Once they know you are broke, you become invisible but you still have to keep buying drinks so you might as well buy dance lol. Be careful with your credit card, absolute last resort.

Clubbing will be expensive if you have a group of guys. Few hundred bucks a night minimum if you want to have fun.

If money is tight, may be just go all out one night. That's what Vegas is all about, you have to experience it.

You sound like a younger guy, so i'd go with:
MGM
Planet Hollywood
Any of the City Centre hotels (Aria, Vdara, etc)

when i was in Vegas a bunch of young bucks like 13 came into the bottle service area. Looked at the price list and left.... don't be one of those guys ahaha made me laugh. They come in all decked out in their cheap suits and can't even afford four bottles between 13 people.

Should up your budget by 100 percent imo.

Vegas has fun for everybody at every budget. If you want the Penthouse at Bellagio, with Moet in your VIP Cabana thats available, or you can also have a great time partying in B/C rate clubs that are still full of people (Ghostbar, Moon, Bank) and staying at 4 star hotels.

You will have a good time. These outrageous budgets are if you really want to go balls to the wall crazy. I have had amazing times in Vegas without dishing out $300 a head on Bottle Service etc. If you want to be sitting in VIP at Marquee that's a different story. $1500 is a very reasonable budget. I think where you may spend a fair bit of cash is either on Drinks at the Bar, Strippers, or Gambling.

Drinks at the bar, well, pregame, just like you mostlikely do here. Buying liquor at CVS pharmacy has ended up cheaper than duty free. There is one near Planet Hollywood if I remember correctly, they are scattered around.

Strippers, I know people who have got pretty good looking call-girls to give private shows for less cash. They will obviously try to upsell you on 'services', be firm and say no, for obvious reasons.

Gambling, well, I don't gamble, never really had the urge to as well, there is so much other stuff going on there - to each their own. There are cheap tables down there which you can sit at with low bets just to make your cash run a bit longer, all while picking up drinks in the meantime. Tip your waitresses here well, and they will make sure your having a good time of it.

Food, can be mega expensive if your looking for it (Robuchon), or ultra cheap if you want your $3 Steak Sandwich. The buffets at good hotels are generally enjoyable and will fill you up for a while

Spend a bit extra on getting the best value 5 star hotel, its worth it. As much as people say, 'you don't spend much time in your room anyways', the time that you do spend for good quality sleep in a nice room or staying in a nice place is worth the nominal cost increase.

Definitely go to the strippers. Seriously, it's really fun and every guy in the world needs to experience vegas strip joints at least once in their life. Just don't bring your credit/debit card. Leave it your hotel room safe.

If you are going with a group, make sure everyone is on the same page regarding group activities. There is nothing worse than standing in front of the club discussing how much everyone wants to spend. If there are gamblers in the group, make sure they have budget set aside for group activities. You don't want to lose half the people on the first day because they lose all their money.

I had better performance from the talents in Montreal than Vegas but they are both famous for that so the experience is still good on average. I found the girls in the states were a lot more aggressive now, one girl asked me to take her back to the room, must be the economy lol.

def go to the rippers, its just a fun experience, just call whatever gentlemens club your going to and ask for the comp limo to come get you, tip the driver like 20 a head and get in there the back way to save some hassle. i usually only bring 300 to the rippers, and make sure to put away 20 for taxi back. ive only once spent the whole 300, and usually just hover at the 200 mark.

clubs with 10 guys would be nice with bottle service, we went with 9ppl last time and did 4 bottles and it was good. we came at 11pm. skipped the line had the cover part of the bottles and got in after 2mins, they parted the sea of ppl for us to get into the club. (this was at tao) costed us about 250 a person with tip and everything. 8 paid since it was the bday of one.

food just eat what you feel. I eat alot there, but usually i try to limit myself to one expensive meal a day ($60-100)

i went with a couple of friends last time and it was their first time and i told them what i would budget for vegas as a modest visitor.

$200/day is low and just enjoying sites and sounds
$300/day is having fun and willing to have one big experience on the trip
$400/day is having a blast, and going out most nights to have fun
$500 or over is spend at will with no worries.

thats just me, and everyone is different, just make sure to make sure to hit up the cvs, walgreens and acb stores to get booze. make sure to have plenty of pregame booze in my room, it will save lots of cash.

also if your a gambler, i frequent poker alot, and if im up or cant find a good table going, i usually go down to low limits and just play like a rock so i can get drunk with the free drinks. me and my cousin were very friendly to the waitress and workers at the venetian poker room, they allowed us to order 3 drinks each a round. 2 parton shots and a corona every 15mins will mess you up in no time. just tip reds ($5) every round.

HAVE FUN, if you go the last week of jan, ill see you there.

I'm mid 20's and when in vegas I'm rarely in my room so staying at the ritzy place isn't much of a factor. That being said for it's price and location MGM is a good choice imo, their renovated rooms are pretty nice now.

If you're drinking hard, don't even bother with a buffet as your stomach will be too fucked up from booze to make a buffet worth while, or you won't want to eat that much because you won't be able to drink more.

Vegas strippers = win. They're there to take your money and are damn good at it, they'll follow you/wait by the ATM machines so bring in cash with you, and don't take any out there as the ATM fee is atrocious if I recall correctly. If you stick to $20 dances from a variety of chicks you'll have a fun time, once you get into the private dances then your pockets will be emptied. Also depending on where you go a beer will be $10-20 and a mixed drink will be like $17 so keep that in mind.

If you stay at a decent location you can walk around the main area and spend a good amount of time checking out all the hotels. Outside of that cabs to either the rippers or wherever else you go shouldn't be too bad, especially if you have someone to split the cost with.

Thanks for the heads up! I am probably going to book the MGM this week, it looks nice and the prices have dropped to around $300 for the 5 days.

I didn't know that beers will cost $10-20 and mixed drinks $17, so im guessing pre-drinking is an awesome idea.

Thanks for the heads up for the Rippers, i will take cash on hand with me before i go in and stick to the $20 dancers.

as for food, I will check out a couple places. I won't be drinking too much, because i have drank a little too much over the past 4 weeks.

Thanks, for the heads up! 2Legit2Quit

If you do go to spearmint rhyno bring cash on you that you plan to spend. For private dances its $200/30 min and you must buy 2 drinks per 30min which is $40. Make sure you DO NOT use your credit card there. I read reviews of people getting charged 200 for a $20 drink. Also I recommend going to the strippers on your last day or second last day. That way if you happen to go overboard on the money your not fucked for the rest of the trip.
Hope this helps have a awesome time man!

If you do decide to book MGM dunno if you are going through a travel site or their site directly, but compare prices against this offer

Oh yeah, don't get completely cut our of your mind and go for a private dance, otherwise you could pass out and wake up to 2 empty bottles of Dom and a nice 4 figure bill after a few hours.

Lol thanks for the heads up! i will hit up the Rippers probably the last or second last day and make sure im not spending with my Credit Card. I will probably take 200-300$ to the Rippers and try to have the most fun i can.

As for the MGM, i actually did put in that link and it's actually better than what i shopped for before. I will continue to look tomorrow and see what i can come up with, it's just so busy at work!

Any other places i should go for food, drinks, or rippers?

Also if your looking for the best Burger. Try out KGB burger (Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers) that was the best burger I ever ate in my life.

And one more thing if you go on Fremont street make sure to hit up Heart Attack Grill. Its a epic experience. I had the tipple bypass with bacon and it cost me only $12! Also make sure you bring your appetite for the heart attack, if you dont finish your burger the waitress will spank you with a paddle.... lol

For food, go to Hofbrauhaus. It's a German place, the food is awesome and every time you order a shot, they come on a paddle. If you want that shot, you bend over the end of the table and get paddled on the ass, hard. It's great fun if you're with a group. Maybe less so if you're with girls, because I know a took a few on the ass for my girlfriend.

Me getting smacked.

Also try Battista's Hole in the Wall. It's an Italian joint, and the food is decent but the catch is you get bottomless wine. A great place to get shitfaced for cheap.

I love the Irish pub at New York, New York. The piano bar there is great too.

There's also a place called Hogs and Heffers off Fremont Street. It's a biker bar and we went in there dressed up pretty nice... not the right place to do that haha. Still, the bartenders are hot and they are fun to be around. One of my favorite places in Vegas.

Fremont Street itself is awesome fun and if you get too shitfaced the Golden Nugget is right there to sleep.

Oh yeah, and on Fremont, you can order drinks by the football.

Footballs!

Thanks!

Certain Amex cards cover the daily fees......

IMO stay away from Rhino, especially if you are a "low" baller.

Rhino girls are insanely pushy and you will be way outside of your "ripper budget" in the first 30 minutes or so.

Stick with 20dlr dances, no matter how much they push for the backroom. They also offer 100dlr dances (3 songs), absolutely not worth it as the first song and last song are usually more relaxed so you don't get as much for your money. Also, don't be inclined to buy them a drink. They will usually make you buy a highball for them - they have secret codes with the waitresses so that when it arrives it is just juice and they keep the $$$

I would recommend Sapphire over Rhino any day.

have fun!
