It's a super-car roadtrip!

I liked it. I always like those races and it was nice to see jeremy put the frs through its paces and to see how quick it could get around the track.

I thought it was a LOT bland.

also, to me it looked like the race wasn't even close at the end - cutting from scene to scene it looked like one of the participants was being filmed at dusk while the other looked like it was mid-day :drama:

I liked episode 3, finally a little respect for some American cars, although not much.

I always like the car vs public transport episodes.

Loved seeing all the hot hatches along with the rugby
Looks like that vauxhall is pretty nice, too bad the focus didn't fare as well but its all we've got!

That Rugby looked like a blast.

Glad to see the Focus ST tonight, even if Clarkson didn't like it that much.

Seems like a rehash of the soccer episode with the little Toyota hatches.

That speedometer was brilliant.
Give the guys credit, they put some thought into the car last night. Doesn't mean it was going to go well though.

I died laughing at the nav voice. I want one for my car. I never use my nav but I'd have it on all the time if I had that voice.

The christmas special should be good. I feel like these last two weeks' episodes have been alright. Expected more out of the TG team however the rugby was quite cool. The GT500 was also amazing, the rest, eh.

I did really like the USA-Mexico thing, some awesome rides.

Only 7 episodes this series. About the same length as the last 8 series. :dunno:

This may become one of my new favorite specials, next to Vietnam and Polar episodes.

Such great shots of Africa!

May's Volvo gave me a big flashback of me and my SVX on the wrong sized winter tires, the thing would bottom out on glenmore so I feel his pain.

1500 quid for a Subie WRX seems amazing, I don't think you could pull that off here.

Well conversion-wise, it's more $3-4k so it's doable but not in that *what seemed to be* good conditioned wagon.

Pretty bad traffic jam when they sell you food on the side of the road, and whats with all the speed bumps, nasty!

Loved part 1. Africa looked pretty neat and I liked the estate car homes. It is cool how they kind of just adventure on their own this time instead of set destinations. Also may's skid plate

Their converted interiors were pretty impressive, especially Hammond's.

Thoughts on the special? :dunno:
Overall I thought it was pretty good. Loved the bit with the log and Clarkson's rear window. Also was amused by Hammond's improvised hood scoop.

How the hell did they get the rear window from the Subaru to fit the BMW.

Vietnam is still the best. Every scene while nice, seems the same for 2 hrs.

It was good, but it was really a 1.5 hour special that they stretched out for 2 hours. I agree with the above, Vietnam is a cut above.

Though hour one seemed like a pretty good Suby commercial.

Eh, yeah, I'd put this slightly above India. A few laughs but not a lot, the Subaru was the only interesting car and the area just didn't seem interesting. Vietnam and Bolivia were both way better.

The last 10 minutes was just tedious and shaky.
