you can take the box to any outlet if thats your question, but you need the box to decode the digital siginal for each tv (so you cant run 2 tvs of the same box at the same time if you wanna watch diffrent channels)

Yea i hate it when shaw doesnt give you programing credits if you buy a second box... they'll only give it you if your a new customer.

There is like a $2.00 a month charge for running a 2nd digital box. I have 3 digital boxes set up, I could use a 4th.
Someone sell me one....Kenny???

Come into futureshop by Chinook and ask for me :) You only get the rebates if its your first digital cable box (but the rebates suck anyway).

The box is just under $200 before tax.

just get a cable splitter and an infrared cable extender thing and run that to the second room.. then you can use the same box, but they both have to be on the same channel, but with the extnder you can still change the channel from the other room too.

ok, let me get this straight..

if i buy a new box, i'll pay for the box, pay additional 2 bucks a month for running the additional box and have my channels still. Hmm, i'll have to think about that.

The new HDTV box (6200) is $497 ($339 if you are a new subscriber) and I believe shaw has 5 channels.

i dont work for shaw, but i have a HD box at home so i know how many. As for the six channels it's 129 (PBS), 130 (HDTV1 does random programming), 136 (ABC), 137 (CBS), 138 (HDTV2 again does random programming), 139 (NBC)
