Can't vouch for that^ But you def still need some game, its just online game - to get them hooked and then set up a meet.

There's def some good looking girls on there, and not all of them are crazy or looking for hookups only.

The fake accounts can be sort of easy to spot, but otherwise - its not for finding a text or email buddy, get out there and meet them.. If they don't exist, aren't cute, aren't skinny.. move on.. Its great for bringing a lot of people into view you wouldn't have found otherwise. :dunno:

I met my wife on POF. She didn't have an active account at the time, but I was active in the forum (do they still have that?) and when I posted about the Philippines after I got back from vacation, her and I started chatting. Now it's 5 years later and we're still together.

And while I don't feel comfortable posting a picture of her on here -or rather, I don't think she'd be comfortable if I did - you're all just gonna have to trust me when I say she's slender and attractive, and not crazy. Something like 40% of (new) couples have met online.
While what very (very) few girls I've met off of POF were a total disappointment, I've heard some damn good stories of people that have met on eharmony. I haven't yet tried that, but I'd def be open to trying it at least.

The women on Match are either social rejects, or are finally looking for something serious because they've popped out a few kids and realize they need to start going for the "right kind" of guy opposed to the typical douche, lmao.

I've tried the online thing in the past with some success back when I had no social life between work and school. Got a few long term relationships out of it and ended up with some good friends/professional contacts that I still keep today. I also know several people who are happily married as a result of those websites, or currently engaged/living together.

The vast majority of the girls on there (In the mid-late 20's range anyway) are Teachers, Nurses, and busy professionals using the site because they don't have much time to go out every night the "traditional" way due to shift work or long hours.

There is definitely some crap you need to weed through, but the pay sites have a lot less. Just skip any profile with a duck face/iPhone/bathroom mirror shot and you can cut your time in half right off the bat. If you just want hookups, POF seems to be the place, but the other sites that cost more tend to have more "serious" people on them, if that's what you're after.

All in all I don't have much bad to say about them based on my limited experience. You get out what you put in, same as anything else.

When I tried Match, the vast majority of them in my age group (late 20's) were Teachers, Nurses, and various oil & gas positions. I definitely would not say they were all either "social rejects" or had kids.

I have some teacher friends that use these sites. It makes sense, the teaching, nursing professions are predominantly female so it makes meeting someone difficult. :)

Oh, they had great jobs for sure! But they had kids, had social problems, or they were 20 somethings looking for 45 year old men...

^ The kids part is the deal killer for 90% of the guys out there. Myself very much included in that group. That being said most single moms need social networking sites such as Match.com to help land a guy. If I ever meet a decent, hot girl with a kid, instantly she's completely off my radar. I made that mistake ONCE when I was 19, and never again. I think most guys feel the same way. Being a dad to someone elses kid? no thanks. :nut:

POF is an absolute crap shoot. Most quality girls have zero need to go on such a site anyway. Its not like they lack a good supply of great guys anyway, so why they'd need to go on such a site to meet additional random guys is beyond me. The only two girls I've ever met on POF were amazing at using perfect photo's that hid everything you didn't want to see or know. Everything else about them, yeah..... :cry:

Never used online dating myself, but did initiate contact with my wife over e-mail as that's all I got once from my co-workers wife, but within a week we were seeing each other in person, so don't know if that counts as online.

If I was single, I would definitely try out a site like eharmony and match.com Just weed through the crap, and I am sure you can find someone interesting. My wife is a nurse working the evening shift, could be worse, could be the night shift, so those people definitely would have trouble finding anyone by other means. I personally have been shy for most of my life, hate clubs and don't drink, so I much rather look online for someone than to go to a club and pick up some girl that has been with every other guy at the club already...dressed like a slut. Great for a short term fling, shitty gf or wife material. I much rather have someone with a brain and some dignity. Now that I work in an office environment, there are definitely opportunities in the work place...but that's usually a no no..or downtown in general, as there are plenty of educated professional girls/women. Married now so couldn't care less, but that's my view of online dating or dating in general.

As for the couple, good for them for finding each other, but even though I love Asian chicks, she seems like the one that would carry an LV bag around, that's an automatic turn off, right after smoking haha
