There is next to no heat lift, no updraft. Meaning that if you do manage to get off the ground, it will be a very short session.

Not that I've ever personally faceplanted on a cold day.

Acutally, the problem is one you see with all beginners.

They want to fly. So they do 1 of 2 things.

1. Jump.

Or

2. Push out too soon without enough airspeed which results in a stall like this video.
