That's a nice ideal...

The problem with this is that it would need near 100% buy-in by fans... which will never happen. Good dream though.

No one is holding a gun to your head. You have a choice.

I really fail to see the logic behind this sort of thing, if you don't like the way a consumer product is being sold (sports have been and will always be a product), shop elsewhere or change the channel. No one is overpaid in society, you are paid exactly what the market dictates, no more, no less. This even includes Paris Hilton, etc.

109 signatures on the petition since August 30, 2012 and 7 facebook likes - yupp, just smoking along.

There was so much hard talk about the fans going on strike, look what happened the second the lockout was over. So much hot air.

I have not watched a single game, have not purchased any merchandise, or done any action that would give either organization (NHL or NHLPA) and kind of revenue.

The people who are dedicated to their, 'boycott' if you'd like, are generally doing it quietly. We know that nobody wants to hear about it and want to enjoy hockey.

The way I see it is that they have done far more damage to themselves than I could ever do so play on!

Hey, I was honest. I hated the strike, i hated the owners and the players and everyone in between.

However, as soon as the games started again, I made it clear, fuck the boycott, I need my hockey fix, and said it before the strike ended.

I was hoping the NHL would get totally shut down, I hate trying to go for Viet food on 12th on game nights, pain in the ass trying to drive anywhere.
