Anyway I have a android. Specifically a galaxy nexus. I did a few searches but I could not come up with anything conclusive.

What is a good app to have installed (in case my phone is lost/stolen) that I can use to lock, wipe and trace my phone?

Cerberus is hands down the best app for this. $5 for lifetime on 5 devices.

i have it great app - although it didnt deduct a limit after i installed it on the second phone but for some reason it doesnt always run when it should..

No idea how it ranks, but I installed AVG antivirus on my nexus 7, and it has the device tracking/wiping ect capabilities built in.

You can log into play.google.com/store to install apps remotely.
**If the phone is still on and connected to internet with your play store account active.
