I'm working on a car show that will be held at the Olympic Oval. We have some contacts, but we need to get the word out on campus. What do you guys recommend?

give out free beer and advertise, students love free beer, and make sure there is plenty of beer available at the car show also.

That is a very good line of thought. :D

if there's alcohol, that restricts the age of people who can just come to check the event right?

posters tend to do the job really well; granted IF you are allowed to post them... check SU for that info b/c they control advertising on the bulletin boards.

I'm sure we can swing some beer since one of our major sponsors is a beer company.

Our events will have a beer gardens open to adults, but it is an all ages event.

I was talking UofC specific, but I'm interested in all major campuses.

Thanks for the ideas.

Booze and bitches (ahem, event promoters) will definitely draw the crowds. Dropping flyers probably won't help too much. Doesn't everyone just either ignore them or throw them in the trash?
