Daytona Beach

Hey guys,

Going on my trip exactly one week from now, and we arrive in Orlando super early in the morning after an overnight flight. We were thinking of heading to Daytona Beach right away as that day we want to take it easy. We would be at Daytona Beach for about 4-5 hours. What would you guys recommend as the best spot thing to do there, the best beach, sight ect for that short period of time? I heard you can drive on the beach somewhere, where is that cuz that's pretty cool.

Save yourself the day, daytona beach is a dump, worst part of our florida trip.

Daytona was great years ago, but has been a dump ever since. Mind you it's fun to do the dune buggy's and ride along the beach I think it's over 20 miles long you can drive and park, but not worth the crappy drive there.

Best beach.. hmm they are all the same this time of year, packed with University and college kids drunk and having fun. The pier is ok, but unless your bored I wouldn't bother. I guess it depends on what you are looking to do while you are there.
