This is important to the Ketchup:Gasoline ratio of 1:3. Ketchup being about $3 per litre compared to $1 per litre for gasoline.

A potential tomato war would bring the ratio to as high as 1:4.5, or $4.50 per litre for Ketchup. Ketchup of course being far far more rare and valuable than gasoline, everyone has to eat afterall.

Has ketchup ever been cheaper than gasoline?

What is the ketchup: gasoline ratio if we use density, as I think a KG of ketchup would be cheaper then a KG of gas?

What about Mustard as an alternative to Ketchup? I've gotta assume as the price of Ketchup rises more and more consumers will look to mustard as a cheaper alternative, Mustard is very much the diesel of condiments .
