Went a couple Thursdays ago around 8:00PM, there were 2 tables in there. The place is quite small; there are probably around 8 tables.

Started with a Café Mocha and a Latte. I’m not much of a coffee person, so I’m not the best judge…but I liked it. The Latte was a little light for my liking, but the Café Mocha was great. It wasn’t bitter or too sweet. There wasn’t a lot of foam on top. Just thought the presentation was a little sloppy (chocolate on the rim of the cup and some on the side), and no design on top.

Had the Belly of Trout and Short Ribs for starters from the “Shared Plates”. I liked the Belly of Trout more than the Short Ribs. The trout was moist and tender and had a lot of flavor. It may be a little too sweet for some. The Short Ribs was moist and tender as well, I just didn’t like the flavor as much.

Next, we had the Bowties. The noodles were al dente and lightly seasoned. The taste wasn’t really strong, it was leaning towards the blend side and not memorable. The portion was decent.

Lastly, we decided on the chocolate dessert because they were out of Orange Madeline and wasn’t substituting it with anything else. The dessert was really small, and it was average. The praline chocolate bar (on the right) tasted like Kit Kat. The Milano Espresso Macaron (middle) was very soft and the mousse was very flavorful. The Caramel Pecan Tart (on the left) was very sweet.

The waitress looked a little irritated. It didn’t seem like she cared much, barely smile, very unenthusiastic, it makes me feel very unwelcome. However, she is very nice and she does check up on your table and make sure everything is ok. Another thing was that the chef kept coming out to talk to the other 2 tables but he literally stared down at our table. Every time he walks by, he’ll look at us, but doesn’t approach our table. It made me feel very awkward and very uncomfortable and had myself questioning “did I do something wrong” or “was I not supposed to be here?”

Wish they closed later, but due to the location, they prefer not to. They have a very small menu, but it’s understandable. I would like to go back to try a couple other things, but this is not a ‘must try’ place.

Latte looks terrible, too much foam not enough crema. No attempt at some latte art? :D
