It's Genmaicha. You can grab some from T&T.

Yep, what they said. Open up the kettle next time and you'll see that it looks like maggots. I've been getting mine from Superstore lately.

I buy my Japanese teas from Community, most health food stores have a decent selection as does T&T (brands can be iffy). I like the Kukicha tea best, very refreshing when served cold in the summer or hot otherwise. All teas taste great from the fridge in the summer time. Brands make for different tastes, so if you do not like one brand of tea, try another. Mitoku is my go to brand. Also, Korea and China offer like teas of course.

I use the tea bags at work, otherwise the free floating twigs are preferred:

Kukicha (Twig Tea)
Sencha (Premium Green Tea)
Hojicha (Roasted Green Tea)
Genmai Kukicha (Brown Rice Kukicha)
Genmaicha (Green Tea w/ Brown Rice)
Oolong Tea
Green Kukicha
Matcha (Green Tea) Powder
Matcha Genmaicha
Bancha

This is the stuff my wife always buys, think they sell it at superstore, and if not, then its T&T, love the taste.
