Anyone have comments on what kind of lugs to get for gunmetal rims? Reason I'm asking, is that most of these seem to come in chrome, and I am not sure how this would look on the gunmetal.

I am able to get spline drive McGard lugs in black for about 4 times the price of, say chrome Gorilla tuner lugs. Price difference is because of the spline drive, not because of the colour.

to me, the color you choose would be dependant on the color of your car... I've only used red lugs on any of my wheels where you can see them... it tends to make the wheels tie into the color of the car a little better... i'd only use silver/chrome lugs on a car thats white, black, or silver... my buddys laughed at me when I got the red lugs, but soon followed suit after seeing it for a while...

CivicDXR, those red lugs are nice with your car. My rims are going on an Acura 1.6 EL - not quite a silver one. I think its a "mist" something color.

Thanks for the input everyone, I'll probably end up getting silver/chrome. If I don't like the look, I'll try to find a place to powdercoat them a darker shade.

I got them in July 2002 from Yoko Imports. I heard they came off of a Civic in Japan. I paid $300 for all 4 which included the grippy Dunlop Formula W10s (the formula are not available in North America). At the time, the guys at Yoko or me had no idea what kind of wheels they were, but later on the stampings on the back proved that they were SSR RS8s limited produced for SSR by RS Watanabe. SCORE!!!

When I got them they were a crappy chipped up gloss black, then I painted them right away with a flat black.

After a while I got bored and jumped the JDM bandwagon and painted them red, then got bored with that and now they are gunmetal...

As for selling them, sorry, I'll never let them go, its too much of a rare find... they are no longer on my coupe, they are currently residing on my brothers 92 Green DA Integra...
