I'm looking for a brand new car soon (a fuel efficient reliable car to drive to and fro work everyday) and I've noticed Ford has a recycle your ride program for old beaters, it says up to $3,000 on trade in, I would LOVE to get close to that for my '98 Pathfinder, on a normal trade in I think I'd be lucky to get $1200-1300 for it, or $2200ish on a private deal...problem is, I'm not really interested in any Fords....any other makers offering this??

Hildebrand in Olds has a huge bin on their lot with an old ford tempo in it, with a sign cash for clunckers, I'm pretty sure all GM dealers are doing this, give one a call.

Any dealership can give you that amount in a trade in depending on the vehicle you want to buy. We were looking at a new Rav4 and were offered 5K for our 99 CRV for trade in value. But it also has super low km's and in pretty mint condition.
