I was sitting in my front yard and saw this little guy walk up my neighbours driveway. I've never seen one before, pretty cool to see up close.

My life goal is to get one and make it my pet.... Where is this? If you see a guy in full camo holding a net just ignore it

Easier than you think to get one as a pet. Fairly reasonable pricing as well.

Its in Cedarbrae in the SW. I live 2 rows of houses away from the native reserve so I assume he lives there or Fish Creek.

Squirrel or rabbit I guess ? :dunno:

That's pretty fucking cool though - but fuck, are there any playgrounds / children playing in your neighborhood?? That's scary shit!

It's illegal to own a bobcat or lynx as a pet in Canada.

Sorry to burst somebody's dream bubble.

My cats almost as big as that bobcat, he takes squirrels that big, down regularly. I think he`s taken down about a dozen since we brought him home from our farm this fall.

yeah he`s.... big. :nut: probably a good 20-25pounds. nobody has ever seen a domestic cat that size before.

Not a good day to be a squirrel

Scary? AHAHAHA its a bobcat, not a cougar..

They are usually pretty elusive, theres an old trapper that usually gets a half dozen of them a winter on my farm.. You never see them otherwise, but they must be breeding, as he's been at it for years. :dunno:

That funny my sister got a cat years ago in Medicine Hat and people were always taken back at her size she was over 20 lbs as well, would routinely bring home birds, squirrels. Strangers would always say...wow lazy cat to get that fat, but damn thing was always hunting something.

Get a Savanah - be warned that it can get expensive depending on breeding.

I've always wanted a bengal cat - smaller, but usually likes water and has huge paws.

My neighbors have a bengal, they are such a neat-looking breed. They sure can howl when they want attention!

The gf's parents have one, I'm not a cat person but its actually pretty wicked, very chill, plays fetch like a dog, growls like a dog but I've never heard it howling or anything like that. Its coat is insanely smooth as well.

Our farm cats are the same way. The tom's get MASSIVE, and solid muscle too. They'll bring home anything, especially gophers or weasels. They're also feral as hell so I try to keep my distance haha.

My cousin has an F1 Savanah (yes it is illegal, but you can get them) they can be a lot of fun, but dont do well in the cold, and are very independent, and wild if you get the as an F1, aka very hard to train.

I dont know why but this made me laugh. That is a Case machine everyone calls them Bobcats but Bobcat is a brand. Term is skid steer.

I've been in Calgary all my life and have never seen one except once at the zoo back in the day. I know they are in fish creek etc but I never see them (and I run/bike a ton). Deer by the dozens though.

You're not the only one. I was coming in with the expectations of reading "cut the hydraulic lines" or "set the tires on fire".
