Skis for kids?

My son has really enjoyed skiing and I'd like to get him something to use for the rest of this season and avoid the rental lineups at COP. Any other places besides kijiji and sport swap I should check out? I'm thinking used since he'll grow out of them fast (5 1/2), but he has a younger brother that we'll try to get into it next year as well.

Some of the ski shops do a gear swap for kids stuff. You buy the first pair for full price, then when he outgrows them, they'll give you a credit towards the next paid.

MEC does a gear swap as well. and every fall there is a used ski sale, although not much for kids gear makes it in to that. This year there were exactly two pairs for 3-5 year olds.

never even thought about mec, and looks like they have some kids skis on sale. I'll look into those trade up programs too. thanks
