My alarm went off last night, so I looked out my window and saw nothing. Thought it might have been a loud exhaust that drove by. Woke in the morning to head to work and had a look but it was too dark. Later in the day when the sun was out, I noticed it was egged on the side of the car. Luckiy I have a dashcam installed and pulled the sd card out and had a look on my phone..

so at noon, took the car to try to wash off the egg,damage to the paint from the impact of the egg

this happened in the NE, not sure why my car war targeted.
if you look at pic 4 and 6 it clearly shows there are egg spatter/shell on the top left corner of the door.

The dashcam is a blackvue 400hd. I think because it was cold at night and also mitsubushi paint is shitty, that it chipped pretty easily.

I had a kid lighting our cars on fire, caught the guy on video (great camera system) showed the cops, then I catch the kid later on, cops show up and let the kid on his way without charges because apearently my video isnt good enough evidence. Good thing I paid $3500 for a camera system and when I catch the guy nothing happens. Gotta love the CPS

We've had our vehicles egged three times in the last couple years as well as the badges ripped off and one window shot with a BB gun up in the NW, cops caught the little fuckers last summer finally and I got a $500 payout from the kids for stealing my badges, scratching my paint and the window, sadly I was into it for a lot more than that with repairs.

I wish you best of luck in finding the culprits.

Provide it to your insurance company and they will go after the person doing the act for liability.

There is a kid that lives by me and he has a friend that always drops by in a white lancer with HID headlight/fogs LED license plates, and the oem lip kit that looks exactly like the Lancer in the video. I just don't know if i remember him having a spoiler or not. I'll look into it and let you know

thats why im glad i have a garage. this has happened to me a few times before i had one. one time me and my buddy were driving home just up the block from my street and saw some kids egging houses.

i pulled up at my house, sat in my car and waited for them to get close to me, we jumped out of my car and scared the shit out of them. the one kid dropped the eggs and started running, the other just stopped in his tracks.

we grabbed him, took him over to the eggs got him to pick them up, open the case and there were 5 left. i told him to take 4 of them and throw them in the grass, he did, the other, i took and crushed over his head.

these kids were between 15-17, still not adults, but adult enough to know what they were doing was stupid, so i cracked one over the kids head and told him not to walk up the block again. i never did see the kid again.

we all used to do it, but give the kids one reason not to do it and at least they wont be doing it again in that area. :dunno:

thats my story lol sorry it had to happen to you, hopefully somehow these fucks will get caught.

Ur dash cam records 24/7? That's pretty cool. Does it have it's own battery pack or is it just linked to car battery?

I would look over previous footage. Might be a chance they were scoping out the neighborhood earlier the same day or some other days. If its totally random I guess ur sol tho... (as in they got some eggs and picked a random neighborhood and car). Maybe some of ur neighbors got egged too? When kids were smashing car windows in some areas that I saw on the news a while back they smashed an entire row of cars not just one..

The dashcam is hooked up to power magic which records when it detects motion. I have reviewed the footage from a day before and after but came up nothing. There seems no one the block was egged.

Haha that's why I asked if I was mistaken as someone else, I definitely did NOT egg op. My encounter involved me coming home to a silver jetta plate tde xxx double parked infront of my house on a 45 degree angle withhis car running. I got out to ask if he was if he was staying or going he told me iit's not reserved parking, so I said no its not I just wanted to make sure you weren't planning on parking like a cocksucker, I guess he didn't like that and It escalated from there. At about 11 I heard a car come into the cul de sac and speed out. There was also a weird revving match we had. Btw he was mid thirties atleast.
