Need to sell another Sig sadly so we can start a big vet bill for the girlfriends dog.
This little guy has been "lady driven" as the gun my girlfriend uses when we go out.
Round count is approximately 2000 mostly American Eagle 9MM
Railed version with E2 grips and night sights.
Comes in original Sig Sauer hardcase with 2 mags, cable lock and literature.

So how does it work buying a handgun privately? Does the seller need to get a copy of the buyers FAC or something?

Seller gets Buyers name, DOB, PAL#, calls CFC and initiates transfer, gets a transfer reference number which they then give to the buyer. Buyer calls in and completes the buyers portion of the transfer. CFC pushes paperwork back and forth across their desks for a few weeks then approves the transfer, seller calls alberta CFO to get a STATT to transport the gun to the buyers residence, or they meet up at a range (which would be covered by the sellers LTATT), buyer calls Alberta CFO to get LTATT.

So it's not a simple "cash for gun" deal like the media would have you believe

No. I sold my Glock to a guy in BC, the BC CFO is majorly backlogged right now, the CFC told me to expect to not have the transfer documents for 3 weeks.

Most of what the media has been on about lately is the US gun sales at Gun Shows, which is pretty much a cash for gun type of deal...

But back to the topic, great gun.

Slightly on topic but when I sold my p220 a few weeks ago to another person in Alberta the transfer took 2 days.
