Looking to set my price. Anyone sell or buy a 2001 Prelude SE in the last 6 months?

Canadatrader.com and CL give list prices...I want some data points for recent sale prices so I can get close to the mark and save some time.

Car is near-mint. Stock w/ exception of Compustar and rear 3 window tint.

170K
Manual
No rust
Black on black (leather)
Interior 9.5/10
Exterior 8/10
Drivetrain 9/10

Appreciate it,

-Brian

As I said, looking to check against final price. Pretty rare that an actual deal goes down at what is listed on trader or CL.

Nice to ask but according to CBB trade-in is $5K and asking is a hair short for $10K. So actual private sales would probably fall somewhere between the 2 for a good unit.

Yeah, the final price is going to be depending on things like tire condition and timing belt service interval, etc. in addition to overall condition. If it needs both of those in the near future, you're not likely to see over 8 grand.

Have posted initially for $7K on CL (Vancouver). Seems fair based upon what's listed but without a few data points on actual sale prices it's pretty tough to know if this is reasonable.

Have had the usual CL douche responses looking for a half price quick sale. If I get annoyed with selling, I have $6250 as my walk away price.

BTW - service work all done on or ahead of schedule. Never seen a drop of anything but Mobile 1 5-30 full synthetic.

Maybe I'm out of touch but I can't imagine you not selling it at that price, it seems very reasonable for here.

That sounds very reasonable here in Calgary for that car.

Based on your description it should sell fast (9/10 interior is amazing for a 12 year old car - is it up for sale in the beyond marketplace?).

Car's in Vancouver and plated in BC so haven't bothered listing in beyond marketplace. May be worth doing, though. There might be more transplanted Calgary folks still following the boards from Van.

Txs.

I think we got 8500 for ours and it had 100,000 kms less than yours.

It did have an accident on it (repaired of course) but same as yours, no rust, interior like new, original owner etc etc. That car was for sale for a loooong time so I think 7000 is hopeful.

Thanks - appreciate the info. Sounding like $6500 may be more realistic (and still take some time).
