Shadowz R35 project

[shadowz]

After a season without a fun vehicle (killed me inside a little) so after long contemplation between a few vehicles I found a white GTR. Have a few parts on the way and will update the thread regularly

I just had a full frontal xpel applied and tint, cant remember the guys name that did it, it was Through my buddies shop. My car will be at World of wheels this weekend!

Your car looks great! what do you have planned for it? I'm looking at the GTHAUS Meisterschaft Exhaust System as my first mod, the sound is so amazing!!

Ahh yes I was there when it was being applied, Curtis will be doing mine as well, except he will be removing my tint. I have a Varis front diffusor coming, KW coilovers and possibly a Cobb AP.

Nice! I told myself I'd keep it stock for a year or so but the mod bug is starting to get to me already and its only been a month!! haha ...

Took the car for its first full wash tonight and shampoo of the mats and inside detail. Monday I had installed the COBB accessport with TCM, loaded 93 Octane preloaded map along with TCM flash to LC5. I have to say this is a absolute must for Zenki (CBA) R35, it is like night and day. The car drives and shifts completely differently along with getting rid of a lot of the clunk noises the early gen trannys make.

Going to wait a couple more weeks until I install the suspension and get an alignment. Most likely going to add sound deadening material to the inside while I'm lowering the vehicle (entire rear must be stripped out to remove rear shock assembly) Also will be taking the car to Screamin Paint Works to have Dan add a new piece for me

I'm interested in the center console wrap, the stock one scratches so easily!!

I'm curious if it matches the carbon fiber look directly behind it where the BOSE nameplate and the passenger airbag light is located, based on the after photo of the Kouki install they look slightly different....

I'm still interested regardless!

Yes I was looking at the console and how poor the paint was, on the kouki there is a difference in material, the wrap Autotech did was much more vibrant where the OEM piece is very dull. Autotech will actually be peeling off that OEM carbon wrap and will be using the same material to allow it to match. dawwgy let me know if you did want it done, my friend with a black GTR will be doing the door handles and such this friday. I will be finishing the rest of my interior hopfully next week.

Hey guys, minor update. I received a few gallons of 0W40 Fuchs engine oil along with T1R magnetic drain plugs. If any of you are looking for a alternative to the OEM fluid along with OEM prices let me know

$83 5.5L jug
$18 Magnetic Plug
$12 OEM Filter with new crush washer

$116 including GST and shipping.

Also I can get this performed for you for $210 including GST with all fluids and necessary hardware. $18 less if you already have a magnetic drain plug or do not prefer one.

I did do the fronts yes, I'm willing to let the pair go for $70 as I got stuck with a extra set.

To be honest taking apart this car is a breeze inside and out, it just takes time due to the large amount of clips and bolts needing to be removed. Job roughly took an hour on and off

Went to Autotech with a few friends to install a KW HAS coilover kit on my car.

The interior had to be stripped to access the rear suspension

Very happy with the outcome, the car rides near stock, however I feel the ride quality has benefited from a higher spring rate. Thanks again to LSVtec crx and maxboost_r for the help today

Yup to access the suspension it can only be reached from the inside of the car, with two people gutting the rear took about 10 minutes

That's quite quick. Is that with experts who knows where the bolts are located, or did you do trial-and-error?

It's just one big bench from what I can see so it *looks* easy.

With the interior there isn't much trial or error, each seat unclips out with a 12mm holding the back bench, and then 2 phillips screws, 2 10mm bolts and 2 14mm for the seat belts. Everything else just unclipped off

Got my alignment done yesterday by Jackie at Zero Limit. For all you guys with super low cars I HIGHLY recommend you head here. Jackie's new laser alignment rack is on point.

Other than that the car drives great now.

Yes with the increased spring rate it does feel smoother, going into R mode and comfort mode is more defined than with the stock spring rates
