it's real easy to do, just you can't do it.

i'd suggest getting a 240sx first, doing an sr20 swap, then finding out about hatch conversion

Don't be mean he has a valid question...

You would have to search on the net to see if anyone else has tried it...and if not yeah basically cut away and fab up a bed from an exisiting trucks man...

These are pics of the elusive Pick Up conversion of the K- Stlye garage, Looks like imma need lots of diamond plate. Good point about the loss of body strenght, roll bars baby. Well this is not looking too hard after-all. Pics are nice.

By cutting the back part of the roof off you are gonna destroy its strenght. You will need a roll cage, you'll have to fab a window and do a lot of wleding to make it look decent. A lot of money that could be spent making the car reallllly fast. If you want a car turned into a pick up by the Levin thats for sale for $7k.

Link me to the Levin I wanna see it. Any way, I'd rather have the roll cage, and trust me, i don't think i'd have to chop much of the roof, i'd just be taken off the hatch and fabricating from there.

so are you experienced at fabrication? tig/mig/arc welding?

you have a shop to do this all in? all the tools?

if you dont, you'll be paying people thousands and thousands of dollars to do the work.

k-style made the car to demonstrate the ability of their shop, not because it's practical at all. sounds to me (and obviously to other people here) that you're wasting money on some 'jdm trend'

pickup is original, but not practical.

4 door is original, and way more :bigpimp:

What do you mean 4 door? buy one? or fabricate one. I understand the K-style's reasoning, but it's amazing.... Money isnt the issue. Time is.

if it isnt a problem, take your car to a mini truckin fabricator, and they will build you a metal bed, put in a rear tacoma window.

then take the car to guyon and put a light bar/cage in it.

its really not that hard if you have money ;D

if money isnt the issue, go consult one of the custom car or hod rod restoration shops in calgary, regina, or vancouver, and get them do it for you. most minitruck places in calgary are chop shops and have no idea about cars. a real fab shop will obviously charge you more, but they have real world experience.

then again, if money isnt the issue, you think you'd start with a better car? :dunno:

Yeah i'm from jersey. There isn't too much 240-180sx motion going on around here. just know of two guys that have sr20 swaps. no conversions... lots of honda around here. There are plenty of custom fabrication shops around here... Still looken for the machine. i wanna get one for real cheap, do the pick up conversion... and test it with the KA. screw around... then if it's valid, i'll worry bout power and the rest of the looks.. You've help plenty with all of your input. Thanx. When i do find what to work with... I'll post post post.

I would say buy a 240 and a nissan truck and then from just infront of the rear window on the truck take a plasma cutter and hack it off and measure your 240 to make sure it fill fit. then cut as necessary. then weld the 2 bodies togeather and try to mount the truck bed on the 240 then bondo and sand and fibergalss and smooth and paint and see what you get
