That aside, were you ever at their old place in the beltline?

I think so. They had cheap flies for fly fishing when I was starting out.

They were about way more than cheap fishing gear - over the years when I've needed that unique bolt or piece of hardware, they were that 'go to' place.

Glad to see they're still around because the old Totem (small RONA's) just aren't quite the same thing.

I love that place hopefully they still have all that crazy stuff.
Hopefully they still have good prices on their cast iron cookware.

BTW, one doesn't 'think so' about whether or not they've been to Ribtor's.

You either have or haven't been - one does not forget Ribtor's.

With that profile picture he can make up any story he wants. :D

But IMO Ribtor has nothing on http://www.kamloopschamber.ca/memberfiles/3183/images/Herby%20Logo%20New%20Colour.PNG

Whenever I go back home to Kamloops, I always stop by Surplus Herby's.

Never been but have heard about it - never the less, Ribtor's is the closest thing in Calgary by the looks of it.

Went to their new location last winter.

It was brutal to find and get to. Inside was incredibly disorganized.

Piles of neat stuff to look at if you wanna pack a lunch and spend a day, but god help you if you actually go there looking for something in particular.

I've got lots of fond memories of the previous two locations... This one not so fond.

^ Yeah, my guess judging by that video is organization isn't their strong suit.

Just shit piled everywhere really. :nut:

I never thought Crown Surplus would have competition, but it looks like they do. :dunno:

Interesting, I'll have to keep them in mind if I ever need a badly worn ammo box or an extra itchy army blanket.
