thats what they said on some history of drag racing thing i was just watching. some old guy is building a twin turbo 4 cylinder drag car. its supposed to put out 4000hp. and they are using a heavily modded ITR body. its supposed to be able to hit 250+mph and run better than a 6 in the 1/4 heres some pics

the only import that wing needs to be on

look at the size of the cylinders 280mm or somthing like that. the block was cut from a solid chunk of aluminum with no internal oil drains so the walls are as thick as they look in that pic.

The engine is 1/2 of a Chevy V8 block or something. The only thing Acura about the car is the Acura badge the guy slapped on and the resemblence of an Integra.

yeah its not really an integra at all, i read about it in a turbo somewhere, the following issue there was hatemail from ignorant import lovers/muscle haters, who cares where its from its still a 4cyl with 4000 hp, albeit with probably 0 honda parts

hmmm. well I guess it's still more challenging to get that power out of a 4cyl then a V8. though not as economical:rolleyes:

That's my problem with this kind of drag car. What exactly makes this car an Acura? Absolutely nothing. It's build from scratch, including the engine block. There is not one factory Acura part in there anywhere.

They could have 50 different body shells and just swap them and say this is a <insert car name here> drag car 50 times...

Do the 8second drag civics and other 4cyl imports have much honda oem equipment on them either?

I agree that car has very little in common w/ an Integra.

How much resemblances does a pro-stock camaro have to a street driven one? :D Last time I checked, there wasn't a version available with a 400ci big block available.

And for the record, the motor in that carstarted life as a single piece of aluminum, and has about as much in common with a chev V8 as it does with a honda I4.

would it even be physically possible to get a front drive car below about 8 seconds in the 1/4?
