Have you had any accidents?
When was your last ticket?
Are you a full time student with an average over 70%?
Did you complete drivers ed within the last 3 years?

TD Meloche Monnex. They're the only ones who quoted me less than $3k PLPD, I even tried calling several of the brokers listed in previous threads, and they can't touch that price.

oh, and tickets older than 3 years dont count, driver training within the last 3 years generally doesn't count unless you got your driver's license less than 3 years ago.

well we both got our licenses just over 3 years ago and she has had drivers training... i will try a couple others, but by the looks of it i am stuck where i am

Some insurance companies give you the rate drop for being 25 years old if you're under 25 but married....

If you are involved in a not-at-fault accident while you are under your parents insurance....is it still considered to be 'your' accident? meaning the insurance companies know about it when you are applying for separate insurance by yourself?

thye dont know about anythign you dont tell them about.. the only other way is if they dig up the police reports, which im sure it would not be easy for them to find or get

When you apply with a different insurance company, they will generally ask you questions regarding your last company and any accidents/claims you've been through. To prove that you've had insurance coverage before, the new company will ask you to go to your old company and obtain an 'experience letter'. This document basically outlines how long you've been insured and the claims you've made. Yes, it is considered your accident because you have coverage under that policy.
