As someone who likes marvel movies but doesn't care for actual comic books, this looks super lame....

Ant-Man has always been lame but him and Wasp is suppose to be the original Avengers in the comic world.

Sounds like this will come out after Avengers 2 next year.

Change size and a helmet that command ants? Lame.

Ant-Man is one of the first 'non-ideal' heros in Marvel --- he was an alcoholic, wife-beating miscreant who happened to fight crime in between laying the beatdown on the Mrs. and turning small and crawling inside her vagoo.

Even so...unless its a pr0n, not worth the price of admission.

Ant-Man (Henry Pym) and Wasp were two of the original "anti-hero" heroes, before Deadpool and such. As noted, Ant-Man was a completely off the rails scientist who just happened to be brilliant and developed Pym particles (what allow his size changing). He's up there with Tony Stark, Dr Nemesis and Reed Richards for the Marvel super-scientist grouping.

Wasp, at least in the comics, had a lot of esteem issues and was always looking for a place to belong, as well as having some severe anger issues. They resolved it with her joining the Avengers, before the Avengers became a 100+ member club. She's also Pym's "wife," if in name only if not actual application.

Oh, and...

In one of the cruelest plots twists, in the Fear Itself story arc, Wasp is literally turned into a nuclear time bomb, and Thor, her closest teammate, is forced to Mjolnir her with everything he has, literally smashing her to atoms before she can explode. It's one of the climax points of the plot arc, and probably one of the best character kill-offs in recent history, due to the three or so comics build to that point

6/10. I was excited about Rudd, but he was very one dimensional. I was hoping for it to have that marvel swagger; we saw glimpses of it, but it was very slow and dry in most other parts. Not really convincing. Wasn't really expecting much, and thats exactly what i got. FYI; go into this with little to zero expectations for it being a blockbuster.

watched it last week. for those looking for a marvel super hero fix, this will do. but it aint your typical big summer block buster. it was entertaining enough and that was about it.

i say 7.5/10

I liked it, personally. For a character not a whole lot of people give a shit about (except comic book readers and actual MCU fans, IF that lol), it was a very good and complete introduction film for Ant-Man. Although not one of the best Marvel films, it was good enough and probably couldn't get any better than that. 7/10 for me.

Post and Mid-Credit scenes were also good foreshadowing scenes as well.

I thought it was okay!

Just feels like a filler movie (which it technically is). They did what they could with a not so known superhero so i won't complain.

I thought it was a decent movie. Good humor and fun, as well as a nice fight in the middle of the movie.

I'd rate it 7.5/10
