Is it a decent for a later supper, like 8pm, or does it start to get more bar-like by then? (or at all? I haven't been to Jamesons in years)

If there's no event like hockey or UFC then it shouldn't be too bad. Don't quote me on it though.

Its a pub so I think you should be ok for supper @ 8pm. They do a $10 steak sandwich on Saturdays at the one up by Sunridge which is decent. No flames game tonight, no UFC, so I dont think it should be too busy.

Cool thanks guys.

I know some pubs turn rather night-club like after a certain time, just wanted to make sure.

Jameson's is more of a traditional Irish pub, at least as far as the Canadian version of an Irish pub goes. Don't worry, it won't turn into a night club on you like other 'pubs'.

Jamieson's is pretty much a pub and only a pub whenever their open, you can never go on a bad day, its always the same thing really.

Not the one on 17th, went there a few weeks ago, left with hearing damage.

Went to the Sunridge one, it was dead, like really, really dead.

I guess they're changing management, and names, but they gave everyone the impression that they were shutting down for awhile, lol. Good for our dinner, sucks for them though.

That's strange, that one has been so busy on weekends before but I haven't been on that side of the city in a while. Glad you enjoyed your dinner regardless.

The one on 17th is a joke. They have doormen that don't really know what they are doing and line the place up on weekends when it's not even that busy inside.

I guess lots of bars do that, but it's just a joke when you have 10 other bars that you can have the same experience in on the same road. Mehh:dunno: Just my thoughts :)

They do that intentionally to make it look "busy." Personally, I just move on down the street to another bar that's more crowded with less of a lineup.

BAH WTF.. An Irish Pub is not an Irish Pub until all the waitresses wear tiny little kilts.

I'd love a Tilted Kilt to start up in town. Like hooters, but, well, you get the idea :poosie:

Sadly the food is the same quality, just different.

edit: Huh, there is one in town, didn't realize.

Jameson's on 17th breaks out the DJ on weekends, went there for dinner and ended up in some weird food filled club.
