Calgary mk1 VW Coupe STOLEN

Hey guys, someone stole a friends car last night (March 24, 2013) from the Kal tire on 23rd st and 18th ave, Took it for a joyride, stripped the parts off of it, and took it somewhere and shot up the shell. The police have recovered what is left of the shell. I know it's a little hard to tell parts from parts but if anyone see's, hears, or knows anything please contact me, and the authorities. I am truly disgusted and appalled that someone would do something like this, so any help will be most appreciated. Thank you all very much.

Here's a list of parts taken from the car.

-Borla exhaust and TT header
-Red and black OBX cam gear
-G-grind camshaft
-15x8 Rota shakotan wheels with 165/45/r15 Federals
-Vmax coilovers
-Smoked from bumper markers
-Alpine deck
-Brand new Battery
-Orange 5 pool ball shift knob
-Black GTI airdam
-Weird flat roof rack
-1.8L JH 8v was also stripped from the car

wow, that looks like it was very much a 1 of a kind car, that sucks that some asshat decided they needed to ruin the shell too, not cool at all, i hope that catch the asshat who did this to your friend

Motor w/ G grind camshaft and aftermarket header. Is this it?

If this is the motor how would the thief know about the camshaft unless they were close to the old owner?

Or is it something easy to spot? (sorry don't know VW's)

The cams on their own could sell for that much if they're in good condition, somebody definitely is trying to move this fast.

OP do you have the tranny code? I'd watch for that to pop up soon, especially if its the GTI tranny
