I have a 2013 Ram 1500 sport that I have been trying to sell for a little while now. After about a month of owning the truck I realized I am more of a car guy.

I have had a few people tell me they are going to come look at it tomorrow and never hear from them again. I am just wondering what members on here have used to sell their vehicles successfully.

I am aware that some people do not care for dodge which is fine but please don't leave comments just bashing dodge. I am just looking for advice.

I have the truck listed on kijiji, autotrader, beyond and one other random site I found.

I am not sure if my asking price is just far to high or what but the truck is only like 4 months old and has 12,000km on it which is pretty low as far as I know.

Anyway, any help is appreciated as I just want a car again.

The only thing I could find was this

I guess I will just have to play the waiting game longer. Thanks for the reply.

I figure my 2012 sport crew cab is worth 35k max. I'd say yours is worth 37k max. You can get it out the door for about 40k.

Yeah, that's about what I figured. I have it listed everywhere for 37,500 OBO, and honestly if I was offered 36 I would more than likely take it.

Sold my 2012 in 2012 for $27,900 with 8000kms. SLT crew. It was seriously horrible to sell.

A friend sold his 2010 sport crew for 33k under 20k km last summer. The slt should be about 33k new and the sport is 40k. So 28k sounds like a good price for you.

according to the Ram Truck Canada website, you can get a brand new 2013 Dodge ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4 for $26k...

I think you should probably be asking $32-35k depending on options and mileage.

a lot of people are going to opt for a new truck over buying a used one if the prices are similar. I priced out a really nice 2013 sport for 41,010. If it were me, I would just buy it new and get financing at 4% at the dealer, than buy yours used with a bank load @ 7%, unless I had a nice LOC with a ton of room at a lower interest rate.

Sorry man, you are in a tough sell spot.

Ya. A trade in might be a better better. If your buy off a dodge lot it would probably save you some pain. But not much. Be prepared with lube.

No wonder it hasn't sold yet! All these other websites like Kijiji and Trader simply do not work :D

Well first, your kms are high, not low.

Second, people are wary of someone selling a truck so soon. It puts out a lemon vibe.

Dropped the price to $33,000. I guess I'll see what happens. I received a trade in offer of $32,000 if nothing else, I'll have it gone this weekend. Thanks everyone for the responses.

Also I definitely listed it with ezcarsandtruck...now my credit card is maxed ;)

If you are now asking 33, and you have a trade offer for 32 and the car you want, why not put the headache in your past and just go for it. With your asking at 33k, people are going to negotiate with you, and you will be at or below the 32k anyways...

If you're not getting a car from them, as spikers says I would still take it for sure. No dealing with people who may or may not show up, no negotiating just money for you.

You also got to understand that not a lot of people can put the 30, 40, or 50K up front and would rather buy brand new and finance the car.

Just be patient and the right buyer will come up

I agree 100%, the only place you can get financing or a loan for a new or used car is through a dealership.
