Wow. This show came out of nowhere. This is going to be one to watch!!

Silence of the lambs and red dragon are two of my favorite books and movies.

Great cast too!

Halfway through watching episode one

Hannibal is an American thriller television series developed by Bryan Fuller for NBC. The series is based on characters and elements appearing in the novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris and focuses on the budding relationship between FBI special investigator Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist destined to become Graham's most cunning enemy. The series received a 13 episode order for its first season and, unlike most U.S. network shows, any future seasons will also feature 13 episodes. David Slade executive produced and directed the pilot. The series premiered on NBC on Thursday April 4, 2013.[1]

I recorded but I'm not going to watch it because it's going to be cancelled.

Probably will get cancelled as it's pretty gory and raw for primetime TV. Hopefully it's not though and continues on for at least 3 seasons

More like next week. Although I guess it's decent ratings for NBC.

Decent ratings have never been good enough reason for NBC to keep a show around. Some of my favorite shows were cancelled on that network so I don't have a lot of faith with them.

I just checked out the trailer and it doesn't look as bad as it sounds. I enjoyed the books, but I hated the Red Dragon movie and Hannibal Rising was an even worse. I'll check it out.

I watched it, not knowing what to expect, and it was weird but definitely kept you watching.

Looks like this weeks episode got pulled due to violent content.

Got around to watching it last night... watched about 5 mins and turn it off... it seemed like a super slow remake of Red Dragon... :thumbsdow

I love it, think it's the best TV on right now along with GoT and Suits. Mads is perfectly cast.

So you didn't actually get around to watching it.

That's like saying I read Dune but only read the first 20 pages.

Found the removed episode on a Korean HD torrent. Way better than the webisodes that us Canadians can't watch anyways on nbcs website.

This show is pretty good, last episode with the angels was definitely not what I was expecting. The colors/contrast in this show is quite amazing.

This show is on Netflix now...i've been watching it, its quite good but pretty raw/sadistic. Can't believe some of these episodes were on cable tv.

Season 3 has been renewed as well, so thats good news

Absolutely amazing. By far best tv show I've watched, and its spoiled me so much I can't even enjoy any other TV shows now.

Vivid imagery, deep colors, psycho-analytical, and very insightful.

Gillian Anderson aka Scully, Laurence Fish aka Morpheus, Hugh Dancy, and of course Mads Mikkelsen who I always know best as La Chiffre, which I dare say has left Hopkins portrayal of Hannibal in the dust (I know, this is a tv show not movie, and close to 25 years later and its an unfair comparison but lets be real-tea here).

Never mind the FBI in this being almost wilfully ignorant much of the time, especially J. Crawford. I'm just glad they didn't put the focus on making the science and investigation aspect as real as possible as that IMO would've taken away from the show. We have enough CSi type shows no need to ruin this beauty and art. As Hannibal would say:

@Bryan Fuller and everyone involved with this Hannibal production.

Loved the show, did not expect it to be like it was at all.

And those meals! I wouldn't even care that it's people haha

Happy to see Scully and Morpheus back at it as well

I keep falling asleep during it. I like what I managed to stay away for. About 5 episodes into the first season.

Started watching this on Netflix based on this thread. Just finished Season 2. Great show! Fantastic cinematography (sp?) and symbolism throughout. Can't wait for Season 3.

It's been okay. I'm on episode 6 so far. But it's kind of over the top artsy fartsy now - to the point of being too distracting

Continue watching. You might as well finish the series. It's been cancelled after season 3.
I'm enjoying season 3.

This is what i felt like as well with the show.

I might end up finishing it anyways if its only the last season and I've already seen two episodes...
