not the engine.... but the chassis thats why some are eqipped with the HICAS system

Only the HICAS, which only refers to 4WS.
In fact, the 300Z's even vary in platform (suspension, chassis, trans). The Turbos are vastly superior to the non-turbos.

The 95-98 240's (s14's) were built on the skyline platform actually. Not sure about the s15 body though. When you look at the 2 you will see the demension similaritys. Nissan likes to share lots of parts with their cars.

The 95-98 silvia and 240 are the same car chassis wise.
