On Thursday March 28th I parked my Acura EL on the non campus side of the U of C C-Train station and took transit downtown where I stayed after drinking with friends and enjoying my life without concern. After getting f*&ked by a guy on kijiji and stuck with this car in 2010, I'd decided that I would make something out of the disaster and spent the coming years and $2000+ on parts turning it into something I could be proud of, replacing everything from cluch /t-belt to rotors and suspension. Here are pictures of the car and a map of its location:

'Sentry' Sam in the car there...

I come back the next morning to find that some c*nt (wearing a size 11 nike!) has run up my hood and caved in my roof.

The car has since been written off at less than half of my direct $ input, ignoring my countless hours of labour. Congratulations to the perpetrator, for f*cking me $1000's out of pocket and destroying the products of 100's of hours of my life. Fuck you.

You can find the seats and rims for sale here on beyond.

Its been reported to police, but they told me straight up that it would never get solved. Then Sentry and I showed them project cars and BS'd for half an hour.

Good for you on planning ahead and not drink and drive.

It's ironic that you were trying to do something good and got shafted in the end. Life can really suck big time. :thumbsdow

why part it out? I would plaster the top in tape, throw a heat gun on it, remove the headliner and simply pop it back up, and hope for minimal ripples.

It is not going to change how the car drives...

Pocket the buyout, get it inspected and re-register it.

I know it sucks, but it is just cosmetic...

I know people that live on campus... I will pass it on to them, perhaps they may hear some idiot bragging about it or something.

I've battled this car for years and I just want to see it die at this point. I got it with a near done clutch, toasted struts, wiring problems, busted ass drivers seat rocking on the rails ect.

Interior is Rsx-s for those interested.

So let's ID the pair of shoes and size and start from there.

IDK OP.. Sounds like you're actually kind of happy someone fucked up your car. :D

Shitty. Similar thing happened to my first car, some fucking punks decided to take a plant pot to my passenger window. You always just want to catch them but the police don't give two shits about stuff like this.

Wouldn't say happy, but I have since picked up a Prelude SH with GREAT compression that gunna receive a 'junkyard' style R32 gts turbo parts build and I'm happy to move on with my life. I can credit this car for taking me from "omg i need a timing belt!?!?! wtf is that! I don't have $1200!!!" to... "These b*tches are running 100% duty cycle.. if I'm gunna do injectors I might as well do a bigger turbo too."

I can't believe you even went to your insurance with that. I would have just popped it back in shape as I best I could, if I didn't like the results, it would have sold for more than insurance would pay.

On an unrelated note, I remember 6 people dancing on the roof of my first car, with no damage done

Holy fuck man, thats horrific. Who or why would someone do that to a random car? Thats just... The timing almost makes me think it was an early april fools prank.... but.

:nut: :nut: :nut: boggles my mind in all honesty.

Yeah I'd do your best to pop out the roof. You can get a new hood at the wreckers for a couple hundred at most. I didn't see if the trunk was ruined too, but its much the same with that.
If you're wanting to do a quick search to see what wreckers would have parts for it, you can check www.car-part.com. Most wreckers have their inventory listed on there. The roof is, honestly almost impossible to properly replace, but if you do your best to push the dents out from the inside of the car, it wouldn't be so bad. So you'd be laughing for around $600-700 and some time on your behalf to grab the parts. :dunno: Unfortunately, the colors of the body panels aren't listed on that site, but you can always call the wrecker yard to ask once you've located them.

...just an idea obviously. Best of luck!

Isn't that the Church where everyone gets towed from? I bet it was a friendly local resident, tired of the "free parkers". Maybe a deacon

I dunno, I had a friend renting a house about 4 blocks up that street and I parked my car there for literally 5 years without incident.... Random drunken act of vandalism I guess.... It was the last thursday night (thursden..) before spring break though.

But as far as the car now... at nearly 26 yr old I'd rather get something with a smooth roof at my own cost, than drive around in some bent up shit box... 18 year old me would have laid about 5 gallons of bondo on that baby and kept the cash.

OUCH! sorry to hear bud.
Hope those rims works out for you and the cabin filter for the bb6 too.
If you ever have any questions regarding the lude, give me a shout.

Thank for the rim hook up last night! Got in there and found many small issues.

Also, might take up that idea of doing a build thread. Lots of body and minor issues and such to sort out first before the major upgrades but people might find it interesting.

Edit: just started a build thread.

Wow, who would do this? And it's pretty stupid how the police would not really do anything about it either. :thumbsdow :banghead:

I was pretty much sold on the rims as soon as I saw the pics of the car on kijiji. Kearth has some sexy style I must say. Glad to have inherited a portion of it.

Theirs not much the police can do. Theirs no evidence of any one person doing it. A shoe print is great, but how many of those shoes did they make?

You cant always rely on the police to help. Sometimes you gotta take matters into your own hands.

Had someone do this to my last Porsche.... Would have rang out their necks if I caught them. Luckily all I got was shoe prints, scratches and a very unnoticeable dent.

And ya in situations like this police cant do anything
