My electric fan seized on my quad, its $400 for a new one.

Does anyone know of a shop that rebuilds electric motors for small stuff in Calgary?

I've called around everywhere but somebody wants to tackle it.

Nobody will tackle it because there's not really a lot you can repair/replace when a motor burns out. You have to buy a new one.

There's no point in rebuilding those small motors as Heavy D has said. By the time a shop takes it apart, finds out what's wrong, replaces parts if possible, then puts it back together it'll be be the same price or more of just buying a new one.

Umm I was thinking a small electrical shop would love a job like this.

Always willing to support locally if its reasonable.

B & E Electronics might be able to supply the required parts for you to do it yourself, provided you know what failed and it's not the motor windings themselves. That's probably the closest thing your gonna find. Those little motors are so rinky dink it's just not worth fucking around with them. Bite the bullet and buy a new one.

What size? just order one from summit. Rig up a mount and be done.
