View Full Version : Chain Lakes Campground
so just looking around for different campsites that i can take the family with the new trailer and i notice that Chain Lakes does not have any firepits.
is it a perpetual fire ban at this campground? or can i bring a firepit?
camping just isn't the same without a campfire :thumbsdow

Honestly I would drive another hour or so south and camp at Lundbreck Falls campground, they have firepits and should allow firepits, plus you are literally right by the falls (less then a five minute walk) and on the river. Thats my two cents if you can't have a fire at Chain lakes.
Heres the address

Don't even bother with Chain Lakes. Unless you're a hardcore fisherman and gonna be fishing 8 hrs a day, there's NOTHING to do there. Just a big field with some bushes beside your site.
Lundbreck falls is really nice. I have a bunch of pictures from camping there. Just do a search under my profile for Lundbreck.
*edit*. Here they are: http://forums.beyond.ca/st/343069/southern-alberta-camping-pics/
thanks for the warning and recommendation. will definitely look into Lundbreck.

Yeah, Lundbrek is nicer. Even Etherington or Cataract creeks are okay, and better than Chain lakes. Livingstone or Lundbrek Falls are nicest though.
